2006 MB C230, Black on Black
Thumbs up 2006 C230 SS finally arrived!

I picked up my new , 16 miles, 2006 C230 SS on New Years Day at the dealer in Tacoma Wa. The car is absolutely incredible except for one thing. The wheels were chromed for me as requested, but the lot person curbed the rear one and gouged it real bad, no worries though they are taking care of it immediately.

2006 c230 SS, chrome factory wheels, Black on Black, upgrade H/K, memory seats/steering, sunroof package, 7 spd. automatic, tele aid.

I love this car and the heavier feeling of the V6. The car is absolutely quiet with no reving noise. I waited to get the V6 as I perfered it over the higher reving of the 1.8 Kompressor. It is very strong looking with the chromed wheels.

Thumbs up Thanks all....

Yes, I am very HAPPY with the new car overall, smooth ride, quiet, strong performance, fit, finish and the look of it is incredible. And the dealer, so far, has been honest and done every thing they have told me they would. I will keep you all informed on the dealer, especially for the ones who live in the Great Pacific Northwest (Northwet) and want to buy a new Mercedes Benz.

Thumbs up Tuscan man....

What is a Bantha? And yes "right now" I love my New mercedes and I looked at everything else on the market. However I'll wait a year and then tell you what I really think. I truly hope that I have not changed my mind though as I love the way it looks and drives, especially with the New V6.

All is fair in love and war.........

Congrats on picking up a w203!

I'm not a big chrome wheels fan, but to each their own! Enjoy reading the boards! I'm sure you'll learn a lot (maybe not about your engine yet, since it's fairly new).

Bantha's are very rare indeed. Known to inhabit the high altitudes of the Himalayas, they are difficult to capture. I bought mine slightly used at the Barrett Jackson auction last year.

i sure hope that doesn't happen to me because I really want to get to page 47 of the maintenance booklet (maintenance: 195,000 miles)

I plan to get another car in a couple of years and keep this one as a daily driver until it dies.

Tuscanraider,

It sucks that you consider your car a POS. I've had mine for about 9 months and I like it more now than the day I drove it home. I hope I feel this way next year. Mine is an '05 so hopefully MB worked out some of the kinks.

More importantly, no matter how many times I see it, I still get a chuckle out of your "Where is your God now?" Is that your brainchild or did you pick that up somewhere else? In either case, thanks for the enjoyment.

Tuscanrider.....

What year is your car? if you hate it on a daily basis the warranty will take care of everything you should hate about it. Ofcourse this is if it was a brand new Mercedes Benz. If it was NOT brand new then I guess you have learned an expensive lesson, don't buy a used european anything i.e.: Ferrari, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Mercedes, BMW etc... UNLESS it is a Certified car purchased from the dealer. If you thought you were getting a good deal because of the price you purchased at...hind sight is always 20/20.

It must have been a used car that you bought.

Sorry to hear of your disappointment, better luck next time with a certified or new one.

I must say I really do think the C Class is a sexy car (C230 with the AMG style ground effects and the stagered new style 5 spoke 17" wheels). I really like this car, thus far, more than I thought I would.

I'll post pictures ASAP.

Nope, brand new C230, 2003. Leased.... so I can't dump that piece of **** until later this year. Can't wait to get a Lexus, and drive it back to my MB dealer to show them how a luxury car should be built.

Well I must reiterate. I looked at the IS250 & 350. I really did find the cars over priced and I previewed each and every car out there in that category i.e.: Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, 300M ( just liked the way it looked?), Volvo, Mercedes Benz and probably a few others. I could not find ONE that had everything I wanted other than the MB and the price to along with it. I can honestly say that I would NOT have bought the 1.8 4 cyl supercharged I just did not like the fact that they would put a 4 cyl in a sport sedan. However that was just my thing.
