Zach Scruggs, one of Lott's attorneys, says his client has a "good faith belief" that several State Farm employees in Biloxi are destroying engineering reports that gave conflicting conclusions about whether wind or water was responsible for storm damage.
Like thousands of Gulf Coast homeowners, Lott's claim was denied because State Farm concluded that Katrina's flood water demolished his beach-front Pascagoula home. State Farm says its policies do not cover damage from rising water, including wind-driven water.
But lawyers for the Mississippi Republican claim Bloomington, Ill.-based State Farm has routinely pressured its engineers to alter "favorable" reports that initially blamed damage on hurricane's wind, which the company's policies cover.

I have no idea what they'll be like should I
ever need to make a claim, but then,
in 28 years of driving, I've never collected a dime
from any of the companies that insured me, only the
the other drivers.
Oh, wait, Farmers paid 350 towards a windshield.
But I had to fight them to keep them from
sending me to some chop shop, and forcing me to
use some crap glass,
despite they been collecting money for nothing
since 1986.
So, IMHO it's all money down a big hole, and
if a company is good today, they could still suck when
you go to collect down the road.
They all suck.

Oh and I pay 550 6 months with a perfect record, and
40 something years old. 100/300/100
Farmers kept trying to jack my rate up for no reason.
My agent always would fix it, and get it back down,
but now she says her hands are tied...
so see ya! They went from 500 for 6months
500 deductible when the car was new and worth more to 700 for
1000 deductible now that it's worth jack.
I'm gave farmers there walking papers.
