2005 c230ss factory blue tint w/silver aftermarket tint?

I love the blue tint that comes factory with the car, but I would like to tint my windows alittle more. It seems like you can only notice the blue tint when it is raining or there is an overcast. I was thinking about adding silver tint, not mirror tint, to my car. Does anyone know if the factory blue will still shine through? I am actually hoping it does. Has anyone tinted there benz with silver tint, i beleive it would have to be a 2005 or the 2006 model which is a little darker blue tint. Any one with pictures?

I've seen factory 05' SS with OEM blue tint with added silver tint film, you don't see the blue anymore.

I went with 50% grade on all 4 windows to retain the bluish tint. For the large rear window, it's 35% to balance it out. End result, a shade darker with blue tint still noticable. You can see the larger pics of my car on the "official c class thread" (last page). Don't forget the moleskins to help prevent scratching which is discussed on various threads. Do a search on it. Good luck.

I tinted mine with a titanium color and depending on the angle you can still see the blue. They are 35% all the way around except the front (has none).

mine is 10% tint with some type of metallic in it...can't really remember...definitely there is a difference with the blue background though because i know on a lot of cars with tint the tint is more...yellow? should i say, especially with light shining through...i love the blue effect and its definitely noticable

Thanks everyone for the info.
NO_WUR_E your car looks nice with the mods...rims, grill and tint. I was trying to get a silver look to the tint and also i am trying to keep the blueish look. Its good to know that you can still get that blueish looking affect even after tinting the windows (like your car).
Elloit your tint sounds like what I am looking for. Do you have any pics so I can get a better idea of what you mean. I dont understand what you mean with the yellowish color, but it doesnt matter becuase the blue of our windows over powers the yellow, right? The other issue i am trying to avoid is getting pulled over for tint. You say its only 10% right, so hopefully this is what i am looking for.
aecasasus If you can attach some pic that would be great too. I live in NY and 30% tint is the max i can do my front windows, back windows arent a problem, but kinda curious to see what you car looks like with the titanium tint.
Thanks

Nice car aecasasus, looks good with the rims and tint. You said your tint is titanium? I thought titanium has a silver color to it? I guess i am wrong. Does your tint look different colors on a sunny day compared to a rainy day? I am glad i am getting this info from you guys before i get my windows tinted because once its done, and if i dont like it, thats it, unless i pay to have it removed and redone, but I have better plans with my money. FYI Kleemann header, cant wait!
I am still hoping to see a silver, silver tinted c230 so i can see the actual differnce. I've searched the entire forum but can seem to find a silver tinted c230. I guess i will start searching other forums.

Thanks!!! Yes...It looks different depending on the lighting and angle of view. At times it looks silver, silver-blue and/or a darker brownish color (like on the pictures). I like it a lot. I'm pretty sure that the silver would look good on a silver car.

Good Luck!!!
