Super satisfied with Service
I got my coupey back today from the dealers and I'm reading the service paper...heres the issues I bought my car in for...
1. Alarm system malfunctions
2. some sort of oil leak
3. dark brake fluid
4. sluggish ride
and heres the updates done to my car...
1. New Alarm system (they did the "chirp chirp chirp" on my car, and I didnt lose the panic button! and also NOW I can unlock my car 5 city blocks away!)
2. Transmission oil leak, replaced transmission module, found new transmission software updates
3. Customer declined brake flush (dealer said gonna cost me $220) and I said F you lol
4. Found new performance module software update for car, replaced old software, set to performance stage III
and the car comes back, the exhaust note is louder, throttle response is quicker and pickup speed is alot quicker..and the thing im most satisfied abt is the alarm system... I remember some members said the "chirp" looses teh panic function... I got the chirp and the panic still works! infact it worked 5 city blocks away!!
so guys, go to the dealer and have ur alarm done today!

Five city blocks? Wow, do you have a roof mounted antenna connected to that key? I had the alarm siren replaced on my car because no one could hear it. My car now chirps 3X on locking, 1X on opening. I guess they need to tell your ears what your eyes already know with the flashing lights and moving door pins.
Change that brake fluid if it is over two years old. Get it properly flushed. This is no place to save a nickle.

I'm changing the brake fluid, just not at MY dealer, the other dealer is doing a $99 brake flush promotion! compared to $200 something!

I usually go to Mercedes Manhattan but Soverign Mercedes is doing a $99 promotion brake flush, lately, mercedes-manhattan service has been getting a little better

Based upon what I read here on the board, I was under the impression that the settings were "either or". Since you've got it working, I'm wondering what settings were activated and how someone like me would activate them.
