Well after getting this gadget in, I cannot stop having my foot on the gas pedal..
Here is the link where you can get it, paid $220, of course with some shipping expenses.

You said $220 shipped; the site states $220 excludes shipping (meaning not included). Right under that it states $25 for shipping.

Question ! - I was in traffic this morning and had to get from behind a truck, I floored it, and when i did, i felt a button push in under my pedal. I had never pushed the pedal that far down, and the car really started moving.
What is that ?

It's a quick-shift, it downshifts when you push it so you get higher in the RPMs.

Actually it only downshifts on earlier models, actually uses a switch.
Sometime in 2003 they went to a system where the switch is just a placebo, and just the act of pushing the pedal to WOT causes the car to downshift.
This is from the service DVD.

What the difference in how the units perform between the auto and manual versions? I wrote and asked the seller this question, and he said the manual version might damage the auto tranny, but didn't really explain how the units are different. Yes, I know one is designed for tranny a. and the other for tranny b. But what are the design considerations?
No, I'm not asking so I can design my own...thinking about buying one if
it would actually do something on top of existing engine mods.
Not much left I can do on my car other than perhaps the SB, without
fuel mix issues.
