Sprint Booster - Car behaving like a monster and hungry for speed

The manual version outputs the 100% throttle signal earlier than the automatic version. I used to have the automatic version. I now have the A2 automatic version, which is even less aggressive.

He mentioned a version designed for AMG cars, less aggressive, this must be what you have.

wouldn't it be hard to shift and take off smoothly?
Sounds like a recipe for early clutch wear, and considering the fact that the C Class manny tranny isn't the strongest, a recipe for problems with the tranny.
Seems like it would almost be the opposite, more aggressive on the auto, less on the manny?
It would be cool if they had some diagrams showing the response curves of the 3 versions in relation to pedal position. Obviously they put some thought into it.
I might want to go with the A2 version as I don't really want much to happen in the 1st 10% of the throttle range, already a little touchy.
I can barely touch the pedal as it is when cruising or taking off in traffic.
Don't want to barely touch the pedal and rear end the guy in front of me.
Saw that the other day, a guy taking off from a light overdid the throttle,
bam, right into the car in front of him. I thought to myself, I wonder if that would happen to me if I got the SB?
How would you describe the difference between the 2 auto versions in terms of how the 2 actually actually react in the car, and why you went to the 2nd version?

Sprint Booster BDD451A for sale
If anyone wants a Sprint Booster for an auto-transmission I have one that was on my C230K SS for about a week, it gave my car too much power and I had to baby it to get my 32mpg. I paid $300 from Hong Kong, its only a few days old, if anyone wants it for $250, or best offer? Let me know. I'll keep it in my car until someone contacts me though it is fun, but I think I might put the money towards pulleys.

What you would need to accomplish the SB effect is something that will
let the .1 and .2 signals through and keep them within the 8% tolerance of each other, but as soon as throttle is applied, a higher than normal signal is sent to the ECU, but cannot exceed, 2.4 and 4.8 V under any circumstances.
Anyone know what type of components would be needed to accomplish that?

I have posted some other information on a U.K. site.

Below is a schematic of my first thoughts on the subject.
It is not a reverse engineered design, but someone may want to use it as a starting point to experiment.

Sprint Booster - WHERE CAN I GET IT?
I just read a whole thread about the sprint booster, I'm interested. But the posts were from last year and the Ebay link I got was no good.
Anyone know where I can get an AGGRESSIVE SPRINT BOOSTER???
Thanks!

I'm skeptical about purchasing from some random site that says basically nothing but..."hey buy your sprintbooster here, send me your money via paypal"....can anyone testify that this site is legit? Has anyone ordered from it?

Sprint Booster feedback
I know there's been a bit of discussion/feedback about these here, but I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents ...
Just got one, used - manual (aggresive) version, from someone who had it on their automatic like mine. Once you know what you're doing, install truly is ~ 5 minutes. Once it's in and you drive, whoa nelly!!! Yes, it makes quite a difference. Power is there instantaneously. So much so (maybe becasue I have the manual version) that I find myself having to pull back after taking off from stop signs because it takes off so quickly (almost like balking, if you will). All the 'perceived' pedal travel is moved up into a shorter throw of the accelerator pedal - If you floor it, there's not much, if any, difference than flooring it without the Sprint Booster. In fact, it actually seems quicker not to floor the pedal ...
On my first test drive, just getting used to it, a new SRT4 chased me down and pulled up to me at a stop sign. He revved and looked at me with a smile, so I took ESP off and went for it when he did (left it in 'D', sport mode) ... took him easily, but we only went up to ~45 or so. He was a crappy driver, I took him from the line and then really lept out ahead when he shifted from 1st to 2nd, but the off-line response is soooo much better with the SB. I'm not sure I could have done that without the SB ...
HOWEVER, I live in a small town, lots of potholes & dips in the road. For just cruising around, I'm not sure about it yet. If you slow down for a dip, go thru it, then try to give it just a little gas (even with a very sensitive/gentle right foot), the engine will want to rev up and you will almost always be dropping down a gear lower than without the SB. Same thing with going around corners, or slowing for potholes, etc. You can definitely get used to it, but forget about trying to drive 'economically' (i.e. like a grandma). I think mpg will invariably suffer.
I'm going to fill up today, and try it for a full tank of gas, then take it off and see how much I miss it. I'm also going to keep my eyes out for an automatic version and try that too. That might be a nicer comprimise between the throttle reset and this version SB. Cheers!

After reading a ton about them it sounds pretty lame if you think about it logically. It does not give the car any more power, all it does is shorten the amount of pedal travel required to increase the throttle amount.
Instead of buying a sprint booster and losing the ability to lightly accelerate when you want to, just push the damn pedal 3/4 of the way down! Same as having a sprint booster, you just have to push the pedal further. This way when you want to get some decent gas millage you can accelerate slowly. With the sprint booster it becomes harder to do that.
