If possible, would you mind listing all the parts you ended up using in the car along with the pics?
Also, I was very very curious about possibly installing a PS2 in the glove compartment in place of the PS-One and DVD player. What kind of modifications did you have to make to get the wiring hooked up for your setup?

It's A-holes like you that remind me why I love the Toyota so much more.
It's not like you didn't buy the lowest priced 4 Door Benz available.

He's a product of his environment, NewPorche Beach. He can't help it. He probably cringes when he ventures around UCI (University of Civics and Integras) with all the ricers.

No way, I love checkin' out all the phat Civic and Integras when I drive by UCI. Cool carbon fiber hoods, underbody neon, "sponsor" stickers all around (I always wonder what kind of air filter a car has, so many of them around UCI are kind enough to put a 2 foot sticker on their car so I don't have to keep in suspense! I also always wonder what brand of engine that Honda has in it, so I am glad they let me know with a giant "Powered by Honda" sticker), cool 4 foot tall aluminium wing on the back, awesome 6 inch diameter exhaust tip . . . yo! sup!
I'm just glad that these days, such treatment is not only reserved for Civics and Integras. A proud brand such as MB should not be left out of such phat-ness, and I'm so glad it is now included. The Hatchback program is already working wonders for MB's image, as amply demonstrated on this very board!
I mean, before the Hatchback, how many MB owners TyPeD LiKE ThIs or proudly put underbody neon kits, carbon fiber hoods, fake dual exhausts, or 17 inch home computer monitors in their trunk???
Hopefully I'll start seeing some phat MB Hatchbacks cruising UCI soon, too. I'm sure it won't be long before I see one with a 4 foot sticker saying "Powered by Daimler-Chrysler," that would be really cool.

Let's hope that day won't come. If i start seeing more and more people with that kind of treatment on a MB C230 i will be selling mine and moving on to a Porsche Boxer S. Right now i really love my C230 and enjoy driving it. I was going to get the Boxer, but because me and my wife built a new house i couldn't dish out the $$$ cash on the Boxer yet.. I know people have right to do what ever they wan't to their car's, but if people start to turn the C230 in to a ricer, then i have a right to also sell mine and move on.. What a shame.

c230ksc - have you already entered a pimpmobile contest? Underbody neon is absolutely essential if you count on getting in the top 10. Hope you didn't forget to cut a couple of coils off the springs to render it undrivable, too.

...lol...I'm sorry, but that was an entertaining and funny rant.
I have to agree on some level with what you're saying. I drive the c coupe, which is the cheapest mercedes. But a lot of people just see it as a mercedes. So it's a way of just dipping into the luxury market. But you're right. When people start to rice out a benz, especially the one that i drive, i find it a little embarrassing.
In defense of the c230ksc, i do like the screens and dvd. But i'm not too fond of the neon underbody kit. And PSone??? you can get an x box for $150 now. If you're going to blow lots of money on screens and what not, why skimp and get psone. When you're doing what you're trying to do to your car, it's all about the little details. cutting corners is a no no. return the psone and get x box or i'd even let you get a game cube.

Some of these responses are hilarious.
Just because he put neon on his MB it becomes rice. Come on, it can look good and does look like its at least done properly (can't see the neon bars like so many ricers when not installed properly).
My opinion, I bought the MB because i didn't want to mod my car and void the warranty, and the MB doesn't really need to be modded...
Has anyone checked the body kits of the C230K? The flared fenders Rentech kit looks so rice, but... that's just IMHO. If you like the body kits, don't complain about the neons.
Rice is in the eye of the beholder.

next time take pictures during the day!
also, how'd you mount your sub? it looks really nice.
i'd say the tint looks good too but it's in a garage at night so it's hard to tell how dark it is.

Nice screen. I was gonna get that one too, but I wanted touch screen and MP3 player. Is your sub mounted in your wheelwell? Can you take some pics during the day? You setup looks tite but I would drop the PS1. Get something better. Judges always look for the newest stuff.

Well the sub is big enough we could use it to make sub 20hz elephant calls. The neon would come in handy in for light on those dark nights of elephant calling.
