Maybe a C55, but more leaning towards M3's. I had the same exact problem b4 buying my car....the only problems, there are just way too many modded M3's

Depends on what you use the car for the most. If it's for weekend, fun cruising, then the M3 hands down. If you have to cart around people for work everyday, then the w203.
The biggest difference to me is the fact the M3 is a 2 door, which in my opinion will always look better modded than a 4 door. I just like the looks of 2 doors better than 4, but I have to have four for work.
Given the budget, I would have both!!! Drive the M3 on the days I know I'm not going to carry passengers and the w203 and the days that I do. That may never happen, but we can dream, right? I've always loved the E46 M3 and my wife has an '02 330Ci. I like the looks of it a lot better than my new C230, but I need 4 doors and can't stand the new 3 series body style. Your mileage may vary.

All depends what type of riding you're going to be doing. Like someone said before fun, cruising, be selfish and just carry your girl car ///M3 hands down. If its going to be business and carrying couple of friends to cruise w203.

If you are looking at these two cars to modify then I would take the M3. The M3 is a better handling and balanced car to modify. The above pictures indicate to me that you would like your cars to be street racer like so the C55 doesn't have the same input nor the same handling abilities as the M3 unless you are looking at straight line racing only. The M3 has many more parts at more reasonable prices from the aftermarket manufacturers.

If I could afford either car, it'd be a modded w203 (c32 or c55). If I'm in the market for buying one of those cars, money on mods wouldn't be an issue either.
As for the performance of a C55. Tsuchiya (for those who don't know who that is, he's the "drift" king) gave it better marks than the e46 m3 csl when it came to the handling. I have a video clip from a BMI (Best Motoring Import) where he compared the Audi S4, Subaru WRX, BMW M3 and MB C55. I'm pretty sure I got it from someone who posted a link on here before (might have been gaiex).
As for the performance of a C55. Tsuchiya (for those who don't know who that is, he's the "drift" king) gave it better marks than the e46 m3 csl when it came to the handling. def the 203, its a newer chassis and looks cleaner. The bumper pieces meet up with the fender lines and dont just tuck in like the E46. These styling elements keeps the 203 much fresher looking than the E46, plus that C55 V8 sounds so much nicer than the M3 I6.

I have to admit...M3 is definetly the smart choice for holding value, but there are so many of them it's gross. I'd go with that DTM C55

I don't know about you guys but if I am going to buy one of these cars I am going to buy the one with the manual shift. Screw the SMG and AMG speedshift ****. To really have fun you need a manual. I don't car if people say a SMG shifts faster than I can. To fully enjoy such a car then it must be available in manual and the C55 does not. Also if you look at the two the M3 in my opinion just looks more sporty especially the rear end.

well i've avtually driven all thoes cars, a c32, c55, m3 stick, m3 smg i must say smg sucks my dick and the c55 aint too fast.
m3 for sure.... but id take a c230 over a 325i
if i had my choice id get a slk55, now that is a nice car it would leave the c55 and m3 like nothing
