has anyone removed the sport tag on the side?

Talking has anyone removed the sport tag on the side?
has anyone removed the sport tag on the side of the sedan (SS)

I debadged my car (the c230 part)

put SS on the back

and used the V8 kompressor (smaller version) (without the V8 part) on my side fenders...its really unique...but my question as stated above..

has anyone removed the SPORT (black side tag) anything underneath? or is it just stuck on? how does it look remmoved? I would like the sport tag removed so my car only says kompressor on the fender etc

Its just stuck on, try using a heat gun or hair drier to soften it, then slowly peal it off. I was able to salvage it if I want to put it back on.

how did it look after cleaner? I have goof off as well. is the paint under nice and clean just like debadging the rear? thanks

also,

do you remove it the same way as the rear tags? heat it up..use dental floss with a nice goof off liquid? thanks again

The sport tag on my C is actually starting to peel off on its own. I figure I'll just get some adhesive (Gorilla glue or something) to reapply it once it gets bad enough. Remember, all of the badges are just fancy stickers.

yup ..thats true..I removed the sport tag on the side..SO much better looking without it. of course it depends on what you like.

I just rubed the adhesive off with my finger and cleaned the surface with a little simple green and it was good. I think the dental floss would work but I didn't need it.

Have you looked at any of the non-sport package equipped cars? That should give you a good example of what the fender looks like without the "sport" badge.

Just look at any pic of a C32 or C55 and you'll get the idea. At least they have the same aero pkg. as the sport, where the C240's and C280's do not.
