0-60 for stock 2003 C230?

Hi,

I have found figures for the 2002 C230 coupe, 0-60 at 7.2, and for the 2003 C230 0-60 at 7.7...

Are these figures correct? I will be purchasing the 2003 C230 regardless, though, but am curious if a .5 seconds was really lost on the different engines. I think not, but I don't know...

You know, I really am not sure, but my wife can't drive a stick shift which is the only way to go in my opinion, so unfortunately I must compromise and get the automatic...

I am curious to see the stock 0-60 times for the automatic 2003 coupe as that is the one we are getting...

I am sure I will find it; I just need to search some more.

I don't remember the number itself, but Road & Track magazine said that the manual, even driven by their professional reviewer, didn't pull a significantly faster time than the automatic. The automatic seems to have the correct gear ratios and shift pattern.

In the 2002 brochure they have the 0-60 times as 7.2 seconds for the 6-speed and 7.5 for the automatic.

I can't find the 0-60 times for the 2003 automatic coupe anywhere. It is just too early for that information to be out, I think.

I am still getting one though...

I have a question about the 0-60 on the 2002, is the time 7.2 with the ESP on, I find when I have it off, the car is faster, maybe its just me.

The 2002 borchure doesn't say whether their 0-60 times are with ESP on or off, but I'd assume that for marketing reasons, every car manufacturer turns whatever they have to on or off to get the best posssible acceleration out of their cars.
