I have the non sport package of the c230k and I love the woodgrain of the interior in comparison to the sport versions silver trim. The thing that absolutely disgusts me however is the black handles on the outside. Is there anything I can do to get them silver and/or chrome? I think the black handles make the car look cheap.

What are the reasonable options for me?

Oh and I did some searching and it seems like a possible option would be to remove all the door handles and paint it myself. I found that some people posted pics of these and the results turned out very well.

Where can I get my brilliant silver paint?

ok... one of my friends has an autobody shop and he said he'd paint my handles for free. To save him the hassle I want to take apart the handles for him and then he will paint them then I will re-assemble it again. Does anyone have any instructions (preferably with pictures) on how to do this?

Actually mine is the sedan, I found some guides on how to remove the door handles. I guess I need to go get a torx t20 screwdriver and start at it.

Could I prime them myself before I give it to him? I don't want to hassle him because he is painting them for free.

Well I sorta forgot about this little project but I got the T20 screwdriver and got the driver side handle off. I have the sedan and was wondering does anyone have any pics or instructions on how to remove the back door handles? Theres no weatherstrip or anything like the front door.

There is a OEM chrome trim piece that is available from MB. It sits on the top half of the door handle. Basically it makes the top half of your handle chrome and the bottom half is not covered so you can still see some body color on the handle. These came stock on my C320 and they look great.

I really appreciate the details Mercedes goes through by adding chrome to the door handles. unfortunately, the C230s do not get this treatment! I think it's a rule that it has to be a 300 series or higher in order to get this treatment.

Really? I've heard that the C320 Sport sedans getting it. I heard it somewhere. I could be mistaken.

Even if it isnt offered as a factory option im sure you can still pick these up at your local dealership or through a different outlet on line.
