Question Painting my OEM front grille

I've been thinking about painting my front grille black. I've seen it on many peeps rides here (most notably, FrankW's) and it looks smokin' hot!

My question for the people that have done it, what paint did you use? I’ll likely get a buddy to do it for free i just need to supply the paint and I don’t know where to start.

My car is metallic black.

I’m getting tired of the Star CL grille, time for a change just in time for summer.

Color matched my grille, but already have a few chips. Probably gonna re-paint at some point and install a clear bra.

to remove the grill...you simply pop up your hood and look around the grill area and you'll see couple screws...unscrew them and your set!

It's carbon fiber tape, goes on easy, and cheap. I like it because it's easy to remove and it's different. Paint cost more and not easy to remove if you change your mind.
check it out.

For the price it's worth a try. If I can do it at the age of 63, you should have no problem.

This is a nice and cheap mod (bang for the buck folks )
Does it stick nicely and how long do you think it will take to start peeling/bubbling ?
Do you know if this will stick on the car's body ?

Thanks

c230k,

how big of a sheet would yuou need to cover an OEM grille?
it would have to be pretty long thats for sure or you would have edges.

think I got the 30" x 4' the grill is about 28" across. You find some use for the extra. Goes on easy.
Give it a try.
