Hi-Beams & Foglights
I have a 05' C230K S.S. with the Bi-Xenon option, is there a way to have my Hi-Beams on as well as my foglights? I know they turn off when I hit the Hi-Beams but on some Euro versions of other manufacturers' cars you can do this, some people over here change out the headlight switch to obtain this desired effect, is that possible with the 203's?

It is against the law in most states if not the whole of the USA to have fogs and high beams on. That is why US versions do not do this. Since if you are in the fog you would never have your high beams on at the same time. And I know in some states it is against the law to drive with the fogs on and no fog out there. Although my 190E will allow fogs and high beams at the same time.

Only pull one notch to turn on the front fogs.

I don't care if it's legal or not that wasen't my question, half the things I do to my cars are illegal anyways, so anyone know how it can be done?

The point of mentioning the legality was to tell you in a nice way that 'NO' it is not possible without you hard wiring it to do it. Also if you were to do it your car may not pass a vehicle inspection the next year due to the fog lights turning on with the High Beams. See even in backward PA they test that during a vehicle inspection. I know this because my 1986 190E almost failed due to the fogs still being on when the high beams were on. Which in my case the car came from the factory that way and did not have aftermarket fogs on it so I was all good. Now had my 2003 C230K Coupe done this it would have failed.
And sorry but I try not to stupidly break laws for no reason other than to look 'Cool' driving around with my fog lights on. Sorry as well for not seeing any reason what so ever to need fogs and high beams at the same time. I guess I actually only use my lights for what they are designed for and not to 'Show Off' or look 'Cool'.

Well, I appreciate the legality warning but like I said - I don't care, the question was can it be done? 80% of my driving is done at night through canyons, I work graveyard & go through a series of canyons to get there so I want as much light as possible on the road, so don't be too quick to judge the situation nutjob, I'm not a dumbass who wants to "look cool" & would drive around with all those lights on in the city yelling for the coppers to hit me, this thread is already fairly long & has pretty much nothing to do with the origional post so I guess no-one that could be usefull had an answer, I've already conversed with a mechanic who services MB's & he informed me that in can be done by re-wiring the switch, also on this following point no dis-respect is intended, I've never heard of a "Vehicle Inspection" here in Cali, we have smog checks every 2 years but thats all, so I wouldn't have to worry about that.

rear fog lights? wtfs? I have never seen this, now i gotta go see. haha
I thought that if you pulled out the light switch knob twice, it turned on the small lights on the front of the car AND the foglights. time to go check it out
edit: I dont think i have rear fog lights?
