2005 White C230 SS
I have seem 2005 230 SS with 4 pistons break also.... MB can build a car in 1950 and decide to sell it on 2010, so the date you are trying to say doesn't mean anything.

Sorry, yo. Didn't mean to bring ya down!...lol.

Hey, look at it this way, even though I've got a 2004.5, the free service $$ evens out with the amount of money the upgrades you have cost.

There are a lot of little differences between the 2004.5 vs. 2005-present models. The most important part is in reference to the internals/computerized parts (i.e. SAM module, MOST vs. D2B, blue vs. orange cluster, etc, etc...). Hope that explains it a little more detailed.
Exactly, some differences are in the interior and specially in the electronics like the SAM modules and others, for example if you have electric folding mirrors like I have in my 2004.5 you can't turn on the automatic folding option when locking the car, because of the SAM module and in the 2005 its possible, they have another SAM module...
Its one of some differences sayed here before

Dam, how I would like to have free service like you have there, or have it

05 C230K SS (sold), 06 C55 (sold), 08 Yamaha R1 (sold), 16 X5M
ya 2004.5 and the amg 4 pot are not the same they utilize 2 different size rotors as stated a few posts back, nearly an 1" difference...as one of hte earlier pics shows the 4 piston non-amg has slightly rounder ends unlike the amg version, just look at the pics!
