Anybody have a loud squeak when getting out of a C230K and the parking break is on?

No. Sorry it bothers you. Are you able to park on a level surface, i.e., you don't live San Francisco or other such place? My car is always parked level, in gear with brake on. No squeaks on exiting the car, only creaks from my knees.

Squeeeeak, is what my car sounds like when I get out with the parking brake on. It is some sort of tensioning spring that makes the noise. I'm going to mention it when I go in for my A service this month.

You may be hearing a bit of drag on the brakes as they settle in to the "full hold" position. I get this sometimes when I do not apply my parking brake with enough pressure. If you try to apply the parking brake more firmly the next time it may reduce/eliminate the noise you describe.

DtS - Thanks for the description, I couldn't think of the words to describe mine before but that is it. Like the stretching of a very old creaky metallic spring.
jnjrowland - That doesn't eliminate or even reduce the noise in mine. I press the parking brake very firmly and it still makes the same amount of noise.

I don't know how the e-brake cable and assembly looks as I do not have my car yet, but when I worked in a garage we used to soak the cable and spring underneath the car with penatrating oil. It would normally clear that squeak problem right up. Most cables now are in a casing so we would just spray inside the casing and get all the springs on the way pretty good with the oil. What happened is that in shipping the spring would rust a bit since it is not used or the cable would rub or both. Penatrating oil works real good in situations like that. If that does not work it is most likely the rear e-brake pads inside the disk/drum assembly. As I said I have not really looked at the rear brakes as I do not have the car yet, but most rear disks have a small drum brake inside the rotor assembly for the e-brake. And the springs in there get rusty or stiff as well. The more you use your e-brake the better it should get as it works itself in. I have also lightly applied the e-brakes and moved a few feet to wear the pads and break in the springs as well.
