Favorite little things about your C?

It seems that the things I like the most, no one else would notice. For instance handling is nice, the seats are comfortable, but having the Benz emblem on my gear shifter, seems to mean more to me than it should.

What are your favorite insignificant aspects about your car?

There are lots of little things that really add to the detail of these cars.

I’d have to say these are my favorite convenience features:
1. The way the interior lights brighten and dim based on which doors open
2. Auto windows & sunroof close when holding in Air Circulation button
3. Auto Sunshade & folding rear headrests

Beyond that - all the other somewhat standard luxuries:
Auto headlights
Auto door lock over 9mph
Climate Control
Rain Sensors

Etc….

i love that the car is "compact c"

the car so small, so easy to get a spot, especially here in nyc! whenever I go into the city, especially the weekends, I drive this car! and and and the coupe LOOKS SO FREAKIN SMALL, but its quite roomy inside

the countdown:

10. the forward three-quarters view of the car (the persepective in my signature).
9. just enough chrome emblishments
8. the spring loaded trunk lid
7. how much the car still stands out in a sea of cars. the lines of the current mercedes line (including the C) still impart a feeling of passion rather than blending or catering to a mass. that can't be replaced.
6. that seemingly stupid little badge that says "sport" on the side without looking garish
5. the lighting (e.g. interior ambient, xenon, integrated mirror turn signals)
4. cross drilled rotors
3. the way the c-class & AMG body kit never gets seems to grow old.
2. the 2005 instrument cluster
1. it's a mercedes-benz

I like all of the above mentioned plus, the turn signal lane changing feature and the engineering foresight. I mean, has anyone had a tail light burn out? I was amazed that the car actually switched the voltage from the brake lights so I would not get a ticket. I just love this car!

1. I love the audio system (minues the rattling subwoofer).
2. I like the rear sunshade.
3. I love the design of the headlamps, makes it look like there's a jewel inside the headlamps (inside the light projector).
4. I love the instrument cluster. I'm a very picky person about the instrument cluster, the tachometer has to be towards the center of the car. Thus, the Audi instrument cluster would not work for me unless I were in the UK or something like that.
5. The brakes, I get the most compliments about the brakes. They're larger than a FErrari's brakes (575M) and in the front, they fill up the wheel very nicely. Also, the spacing between the tire and the fender, very evenly two inches all around.
6. The handling is good, could be better, but good enough. A tad bit too much of body roll.
7. I really like the radio display. I think it looks very classy.
8. Multi function steering wheel. Love it, gotta have it.
9. The glove compartment, I like the two tier center armrest compartment. I'd like the normal glove compartment in front of the passenger seat too if only the stupid CD changer weren't in the way.
10. The Touchshift automatic transmission, a joy to look at, a delight to behold and shift manually with.
11. The badge that says "KOMPRESSOR", I was looking at it one day and I thought that it was a very nice badge.
12. The huge gap between the wheels and the disc brakes in the rear wheel. Makes it look like the brakes needs all the ventilation it can get.

One with 4 wheels
Wee!

1.) The way it looks.........classic MB design.
2.) Small interior touches.......chrome rings around instruments, cup holder, textured aluminum trim, overall handsome, classy interior
3.) MB Hood Ornament gracing my cars front end.
4.) The passenger rear-view mirror adjusting down so I can see the curb whenever I shift to reverse
5.) Sunroof, and the smart "vent" it has on the sliding shade so you can tilt the roof to let air in, but you don't have to open the shade.
6.) Perforated leather seats, and overall leather interior.
7.) Eye-ball-like HID lights
8.) MB sports grill.
9.) Rear-window sunshade.
10.) Blue tint windows.

I totally agree with the 13.6" brake rotors. It's a bit overkill though, it's going to cost a fortune when they need to be replaced, especially if the rotors need to be replaced with every pad change.

Yet, I'm willing to pay the price. Because they are such a good conversation piece.

Try some of the older Infiniti cars, they had a very nice sound. I think that's one of the best things they did. Back then, they had solid brass door handles, and the door opened and closed with a very nice clunk.

Sadly, the sound of the Infiniti cars sound better than the Rolls Royce.

this was already mentioned, but I too really like how it stands out in a sea of cars. No gimicks, just Benz. I do miss the single wipers though, that are now only available on larger bodied models. No pun intended, but they are all [I]models[I]with exception of the crossover freakies, those are more like model wannabe's.

Agree. One small thing I really like is the substitute light function. I bought my car used and didn't even know it has that function until it happened to me. When I read the MFD saying something like: "Tail light out, substitute light on", I thought: "Wow, you smart little b@st@rd." Love it.

Electrical sophistication can be annoying though when something goes wrong. Once I changed the battery without removing the key from the ignition and blew the circuit unit. My bad. I lost a lot of functions including turn signals and wipers. It was drizzling when I drove to the dealer so it was really annoying. Moreover, I had to use hand signals when I wanted to make a turn. Really really embarrasing.

I like the free carwashes, pastries and coffee, 4 yrs of free maintenance, 4 yr warranty at the dealer. Now they even have wifi access, what more can you ask for? Toyota is getting close though, they promised free car washes and oil changes, hmm, maybe it's time to trade in the C230 for a Yaris.
