those with H&R cupkit

i'm scared that after i get the H&R cupkit, that my car will be too low and that my dealer will not service it. has anyone had any problems regarding their car with the H&R cupkit and the dealership?

thanks

New to MB. Came from a BMW... but I've never heard of the cup kit before coming to the MB world. Can someone give some details on this kit?

I've worked with coil overs, shocks and springs but cup? hmm..

Yeah, it's been a while since I last watched the movie, I stand corrected. Either way, be sure to check the odometer before and after you get your car from the valet, there must be some way to sue for gas money if they used up too much. :p

The cup kit is a set of H&R springs (lower than H&R Sport Springs) and specially matched Bilstein shocks (made exclusive for H&R).

So why is it called a cup kit? That's the part that is confusing me I guess. I am used to matched springs and shock combos but this is odd to me.

Anyhow, if it is shorter spring than sport how much is the drop amount?

TIA

from what i'm guessing, it's called cup kit maybe from the races = cups they have in Europe and they might be using these kits for the beginners races. as for the drop.. front is 2 inches rear is 1.4 inches. these are numbers from the manufacturer. for my car it's progressed a bit and has lowered a little more which makes the front look much nicer... any additional help on the name cup kit please join in

To phattbam -

Is there any problem with your car going over speed bumps??
Those really big ones, which the car will bounce after it.
Because I'm also thinking of getting 18s with cupkit which i guess will lower my stock 16s ride by about 1inch.(18in. will raise height by 1in. and lower by 2 = 1in.)

Thanks in advance

no problems yet, but when you drive a lowered car you never run over speedbumps as if you have a 4x4/suv. you usually slow down and roll at an angle if possible, i have the factory sports package and i dont think the front bumper is much lower than the standard kit.
