I have not gotten a dyno on it yet. But from the testing that was done will be 30% more effective than the stock intercooler. I expect that it will show at least 10 HP and a wider power band.

C230k Coupe
If you get more than 7 will the price lower, or is that the final price? if you dont get 7, say 5 will the price be higher, or will they just not make them? ... cuz we need dyno charts to decide if its worth the money! and I think i speak for everyone on that

Here's the Math
Randy:
Estimated effectiveness of the intercooler is as follows:
Temp. In: 265 deg. F
Temp. Out: 160 deg. F
Pressure In: 10 psi
Pressure Drop: 0.25 psi
Ambient Air Temp: 75 deg. F
Let me know if you have any other questions.

C230 Sports Coupe
that must have been a stock car. I pullied coupe will range anywhere from 190-200rwhp. Some cars are just stronger than others. While some may dyno stock at 165 like above some could be 170 or160 . It also depends on temp, altitude, etc. For example a coupe at 5000ft at 97% humidity, and a 91F temp would dyno lower than a coupe at sealevel, with 50% munidity and 65F. Most dyno's will correct for it though.
The intercooler looks promising. I think it will yield more power to the pullied cars.

The reason his before is so bad is because it's a third run, that's normal for our coupes to drop at least 10hp in three back to back runs to redline. Remember, his original run wasn't that impressive before and it's 106 degrees so a 15hp drop would seem appropriate. You normally run the car once on a dyno to redline to get the numbers you want but reality is that you are going to run to redline 3 times in a 1/4 mile run or getting on an on ramp. The question is do you put in the intercooler or misters. Misters are the cheap way with a $100 controller and maybe $50 of miscellaneous parts but then you have to keep refilling it with water.
Also if it's 106 in the room, will you get the same 15hp in a normal 70-80 degree environment? Florida is hotter than the rest of the country.

Sounds expensive to use NO2 or CO2 to cool intake air. Maybe good for racing where you only have a few runs but a more effecient intercooler will work all the time. Also people use misters directly into the intake for cool air temps.

The stock intercooler is not a very good one they used only enough to get what they wanted, and it's even worst if you have a pulley kit on the car.

Renncpe,
Why do you only gains 180 hp/ 199lbs-ft. even with intercooler? With pulley, i got 192 hp/ 219 lbs-ft. and without IC and fuel regulator. But with Fuel regulator, i get 188 hp/ 210 lbs.-ft. because the engine run richer and with out IC but the ECU still pull back 4.5 degree of timing. My point is that, i gain more hp and tq. then you with IC.
