Is the lower window on the C230K Glass or Plastic?
I'm seriously considering Rain-Xing all the glass on my C230K, but was curious about the very bottom window (just under the spoiler). It seems to accumulate a significant amount of rain... crap.... for lack of a better word. Since the rear hatch doesn't have a wiper, it needs it.
But my concern is the possible chemical interactions on that lower window if it's plastic of some sort. Anyone done this?
Thanks!

It's lexan. RainX probably wont do it any harm, but try it on a small unexposed area first....leave it for a week, wash and see if it affects it. Any alchohol based products may denature the plastic window, leaving it with a 'frosted' appearance.

Although... Lexan... As in Bulletproof glass? That stuff tends to deteriorate under UV.... Maybe a good wax would be better...

Lexan isn't exactly bulletproof, unless very thick, but it can take quite a beating. However, while it can take a hard blow, it is very soft on the surface (easy to scratch). However, I doubt the MB Lexan piece is anywhere thick enough to stop a bullet. Maybe an arrow.
