My opinion... do not remove the resonator unless you want it raspy and alot louder. Took off the resonator on my S550 and it sounded like a V12 bizeast! way tooo much volume. I like the sound on your vid though. Very smooth and peppy.

That sound very nice Karo! I'm glad the exhaust worked out so well for you! Now I need to get the exhaust done on my C55.

It was a good thing for a couple days. I'll post the vids to youtube.

when I was on the highway punching it you could hear it resonating like crazy in the car, not so nice when you have 2 kids sitting in the back seat!

it sounds nice and smooth now... with a kick.

Yeah, I really like the W203. There's not really anything I dislike about the car. I looked at W204s for like 5 minutes and they were too expensive since they're so new (plus I would have at leasted wanted the C350) and I don't really like anything about the W204 except for how they drive. I couldn't find a C350 W203 so I decided the C55 would be the best bet that way I'll keep it for longer. I'll probably keep this thing until the wheels fall off and by then maybe the W205 will be more to my likeing.

Yup, still visiting the 203 boards of course but I did sell the C320.

Here's video of the S550 with resonator delete. I already added back in the resonator. Sounds much better now.

I'm planning on removing my muffler completely but keeping the resonator. What do you guys think? Will it be too loud?

change the resonator... use the louvered ones... anyway dips on your muffler

Not sure on W203, but my friend removed his muffler on his 330Ci and it's not loud at all. It does drone a little.

Removing the muffler will be too loud and you will not pass smog. I removed my muffler and I was pulled over 2 days ago by LA Sheriff for too loud. Sounds aggressive but too loud to get away with.

you still pass your smog test... only when you take out your cats then you will not pass... about the police is you are just unlucky...

Maybe I can just cutoff my muffler and see how it sounds. Worst case scenario I pay 50 bucks and have it welded on. I heard MilkMan's exhaust its a m272 2.5 and it was pretty loud when he hopped on it. I don't know about the 3.5

just removed the reasonator or try a different muffler. The car will sound like *** without a muffler.

If you're thinking about going with an aftermarket muffler, you can see how it sounds when they have your muffler off, and just make your decision from there.
