Cool man also don't forget to tell us if you feel any performance differences while driving the car.. ofcourse a dyno would even be better but ..a real hassle.. so we'll understand if you don't provide one..

Does anyone know if the race muffler is a different shape then the other versions or do they all have the same shell? I thought the race was a straight through style.
Anybody know any part numbers for any of the versions so I can figure out what I got?
Here's what the tag on mine says:
AK21/03 N
DB W203
0180-230
ED 5117
My M271 now sounds about as loud as an M111 without a resonator. I almost can't hear it at highway cruising speeds.

Take that ****ty resonator off. I never really got to try mine with it, but without it mines quite loud, and its a really raspy tone.
I can hear it real loud at highway speed and it makes me nauseated if i have a headache going 80 on the highway.
With the windows up it really makes a difference in sound and in conjunction with my intake its a loud vehicle. I can set alarms off on certain cars.

So your saying the M F'er is STILL gonna get louder!! Damn. You know what, that thing you said about how in highway speeds it sounds really good-that is very true. I bought a new home that is further from my job requiring me to now take the freeway and let me tell you it sounds soo good in the high RPM around 65-75. I REALLY enjoy driving down to work now

I got it as the "deal". I ordered the exhaust then I checked the optional sound pipe check box on the eisenhaus site.
I just got off of the phone with eisenhaus. They swear up and down that I was shipped a race exhaust. They want me to put the straight pipe in place of the resonator and drive the car hard for 500 miles before I judge the sound. I'm not gonna be too happy if I still get the same results and then can't return it because it's used.

I took off the resonator last night. I had to go buy an additional clamp for the straight pipe section. It sounds better. Not as loud as I was thinking it was gonna be but I feel a little better. Like others have said the sound is slowly changing. I still need to adjust the hangers a little but those things are gonna be a ***** to bend. Then I can work on trimming the bumper.
Right now it sounds stock at idle. Has a nice deep tone during accelleration and is audible at cruising but can almost be forgotten until you give it a little throttle then you are like "oh ya, I got exhaust." It's actually louder than I make it out to be. When it's broken in more I will finish the video so you guys can see (hear) it compared to stock.

great exahust!
Happy birthday! So is that how all quad exhausts look like? I thought that there would have to be two mufflers too to get a better performance upgrade? How do those one differ from this one.

Well I put it on. Sounds very quiet compared to my previous setup. You can still here it but its nothing loud or obnoxious. I might pull off my resonator.
Butt dyno says, feels very similar. At first my car was very slow. Then as I drove more it seemed my car learned the exhaust. Or maybe it was the 100F weather, lol. Who knows but now it feels good as before. I raced a C320 today and I pulled away like no tomorrow.
Car still feels good.
