No, I bought 2 new ruuber hangers from Advance Auto. They're about 1" shorter than the stock ones, thus able to lift up the muffler a bit. I also adjusted the metal hangers on the car a bit also to align the tips.

I dont know if you saw my thread about my eisenmann exhaust. PAY attention to the threads ,about exahst, B4 installing . did you see my thread when the bumper melted on the exhaust?? why it happend why i let it?

i think it should be done like this always i let my bumper melt on my exhaust so it can take the exact shape of the tips so it melted to a certin point and then the melting stoped. and then i trimed it and then polish my tips and wallllaaaa perfict besides i woudnt recomand remus or none german products.........only german products are well made for are car example....eisenmann exhaust, brabus exhaust, kleemann exhaust ect....
If you had your bumper melt on the tips it would get the that nice round perfict shape and then trim it... THIS I S WHAT I THINK I DONT CARE WHAT OTHERS SAY...

just one FIY...Remus is German/Austria...and they makes the BRABUS exhaust for BRABUS since as long as I can remember. Kleemann's from Denmark...not Germany.

Eisenhaus Exhaust

Well I did it. I just ordered my Eisenhaus exhaust for my C230. Do you guys think i should run with or without the resonator. I know without the resonator it will sound a bit deeper / louder. Just looking for opinions. I do not want it too loud nor do I want the fart can noise. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thing is, your car is a v6 (unlike the prior i4 230's), so the sound coming from an Eisenmann muffler on your car will probably sound different from prior 230's 2005-prior.

That being said, did you order the sport or the race setup? If you do not want it too loud, keep the resonator on. The resonator dampens the sound a bit and without it on there, it might be more sound than you want.

That is exactly what i was thinking. I got the race version. I looked around but could not find anyone with a v6 c230 that has this exhaust on it. I asked the vendor and he told me most people that have it have the older i4 so mine will sound a bit different being a v6. I think i will keep the resonator on at first and change it later if need be. I dont want this thing to sound like a truck with an open header.

I took off my resonator in c240 and at idle is still sounds stock but while moving at mid rev the car sounds a tad louder and deeper.

The engine sound from yours and mines should be close just that yours a have more pep.

Hope this helps.

It will definitely sound different than the supercharged i4. You definitely should keep the resonator on first. Drive the car for a bit, let the exhaust settle in. If you wouldn't mind it being louder, take it back to the exhaust shop and have them weld on a straight pipe where the resonator is.

Thanks for all the advice. Im going to do exactly that. Let the bumber melt withour trimming and let the exhaust settle in without taking the resonator out. Now i just want the damn thing to get here so i can slap it on !

That Remus sounds nice it doesnt have that ricey at all. Im liking it over the Eisenmann and its probably a lot cheaper. Even though its not as loud, I didnt buy a benz to be heard its more of a car that is seen.
