Thats ok, SoCal, I think I missed your point the first time, but maybe I get it now. The stock setup is a resonator and a very strangely shaped muffler. The Kleemann exhaust is just the muffler, and it leaves the resonator on.

What does the rest of your muffler look like BlackC230Coupe? First off, it is kind of oddly shaoed like the stock muffler? And is it finished in a matte black finish with polished tips?

Yes, it looks like that except it says "Kleemann" on the tips, and the tips are more oval shaped.
Also I've noticed that the sound of the "Kleemann" muffler sounds alot like a couple of the sound samples from the Remus website, so I'm sure they are the same.

The Remus lists for $579, D2 told me they can do it for $500. The list price on the Supersprint is $453.10 muffler with dual square tips, $587.39 muffler with dual class tips. My guess is you can do about 10-15% off those numbers. You are always going to pay more for the tuner name on it.

Anyways, that's a nice looking muffler - not obnoxiously overdone like a lot of aftermarket mufflers. Looks good on the car.

All these mufflers are just that, mufflers. I dont think there is a cat back system for our cars? Im not sure tho.
I just dont see a muffler being worth 765, like for the sound it makes, cant I get a cheaper one?
Not trying to be cheap but I think I can spend 765 on my C230 on different little items to personalize it. I just want a deeper sound and it loud when i punch it to the floor.
Any ideas?

Check with Dee at D2Technik.com, he quoted me $500 for the Remus. I think I would still go with the Supersprint. They make more than a catback, they sell from headers to muffler for the coupe. D2 also sell the Supersprint. I think the Supersprint for abuot $400 is the best buy of them all. The prices I got on Supersprint came directly from their distributor as list prices and both those mufflers are available.

AndrewK - If Renntech is $790 for the muffler and $890 for the catback, then its well worth the extra $100 jump for the full exhaust, a muffler on its own is basically a waste if the pipe leading up to it is smaller.
SoCal240/6 - I'd say most aftermarket mufflers are just mufflers, which in reality (dyno and otherwise) do almost no good on its own.
x15jq - Deeper sounds are hard to reach on a 4cyl application. Ever hear a Civic with a loud muffler? It sounds like a lawn mower.
