Question Charge to switch to Netherland setting?

Did the dealership charge any of you for switching your car setting to the Netherlands option? I asked my advisor if her could add it to the work order today when he called me and he said that he would have to charge me an hour of labor to have my setting switched to the netherland option since the MB tech would have to alter it by using a computer???!!!???

All I want to get is the little beep noise when I lock or unlock my car.

Keep in mind that this is after the dealership has had my car now for 4 days because they can't fix the start up issue after my car has been sitting for about 10 hours or more...plus me having to freakin pay $362 for a new fog light.

I am starting to loose my patience...

Honestly, you need to get eyes on with that dealership. I know someone had previously mentioned getting mean, but I think a direct approach will be better. Your SA is likely been issued orders to bill-bill-bill. Get on his good side, if that doesn't work, talk to his boss.

VERY VERY EASY! especially when u still have warranty!

well, my alarm kept going off for no reason. the dealers changed my alarm system, I didnt even know that I have chirp.

when you unlock, it goes, BEEEP, when you lock the lights flash 3 times with (BEEP BEEP BEEP)

and yeah, the "loosing your panic button" no, I still have my panic button, and pressing panic, I can reach the car when the car is a block away!

all you have to do is b*tch at your SA and tell them the alarm keeps going on and off for no apparent reason! and maybe they'll change your alarm system

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
Usually they will do stuff like that for free when they already have other work to do.

you will lose your panic feature if you activate the netherlands setting. The only way to keep it is if it was done with a modified star diagnose system.

I had mine switch to Netherland mode... NOW I GOT ISSUES

Changed mine to Netherland mode 2 months ago.

Now the alarm is going off at random. even when I'm driving.

The alarm would chirp constantly.

The beeps is not there anymore. I'm not sure what to do now.

I Dont see any other explaination for the alarm to mal function except netherland mode. Bad part is that car warranty just expired 1 months ago.

I got out of work late so I couldn't go and pick up my car today...I did call my SA to tell him that other C230 custoemrs got their car changed to the Netherland settings there for free...then he told me that since Autonation took over Auotohaus things have changed and that he would have to charge me an hour of labor (which is $120) to do it...very frustrated to say the least.

justford0099 - thanks for the info / I will be going back to get my service B performed in 2 months or so - I will give it another shot then
