It was discussed in another thread what the RPM's were at top speed. What do you mean by 'clock'? That's what my digital speedo display said and that's approximately what the RPM's were while doing that speed.

No panties here however, I brought my wife home from an emergency laproscopic surgery last friday and parked in front of my place because she couldn't walk very well through the garage (I was already stressed about my wife being a few hours away from death). Some lunch box clown shoe that lives across the street from me took his dirty golden retriever across the street to take a duece on my lawn. I almost stepped in it while getting back in the car to move it into the garage. I went out the front door, picked up the duke and pressed it into my neighbors front door.

I moved to Rancho Santa Margarita a.k.a. "Whitey Town" so that I didn't have to be reminded of a Bosnian bario anytime I leave my house. The association won't do anything about it but I sure as chit will.

If you buy a dog and don't want to clean up after it...you eventually will.

I can see why you would be stressed. Sorry to hear that your wife had to go through that, bug hopefully she is on the road to recovery.

That's one of the funniest dog poo stories I've heard though!

I'm assuming you were restricted by the governor....

Was it still pulling at that speed, or was the end near anyway?

I was restricted by the govenor. It almost felt as though the brakes were being applied as soon as I hit speed, so yes it had more. It will get there quickly too starting from 83/84 and hammering it. And also from 106/111 and hammering it. It's between gears and zero torque when trying to slowly achieve top speed after 115. I'm pretty sure based on the RPM's at top speed and the ammount of torque available, the car has the ability to put down 150 perhaps even 155 but that's pushing it.

I tried it again this morning in the same spot and the numbers are right there. 134 mph digital speedo and about 4200/4300 RPM's. It will poke over 135 but it seems my govenor is at 134.

Is a chip the only way to override the govenor?

Shall I test the top speed of every gear?

There's no way to override the governor. On other cars, I've tried everything from pressing the 1st notch of the parking brake, trying a lower gear, trying to accelerate via the cruise control, blah blah blah...

Time for a tune!
