Cool

well.......
when I first got my car..... I liked it a LOT.....
and then I went through this whole phase where I was regretting ever buying the car and wished I bought something else..........
but now... after driving my car since December.... I find myself falling in Love with the car again.... and apreciate the car more and more....
I like the engineering and the rarity of this car... there are not too many of these cars around in my City and whenever people see me with my car, they always have positive comments and also mention that this is the first sports coupe that they've ever seen...

i agree with you for the most part, i loved the rarity of it, but its not really rare in LA, but in the 805 its still pretty rare, i also like the fact that i was the first one in my city to get one. i have bragging rights

since i had debated between the RSX-s and the benz, there was a period when i wish i had spent the $3000 less and put that money into mods. that period lasted for about 1 day.

it's almost frightening how much i love this car. i just wish the interior pops & creaks weren't so noticeable.

sometimes, i feel like i should have bought a honda civic hx - get about 40mpg, less maintenance, no pulley kit, regular gas. would have saved about $15000+ (redid the math there...)

I was actually going to get the Audi A4 Quattro T but changed my mind at the last minute. Somedays I feel I made the wrong choice (especially those days I feel like tearing up the road) but I think that's just a matter of "the grass is greener".

Sometimes I wish I had gone for the Bimmer. The finish of the interior really gets to me. It's nice when brand new, but a few months into it, you start to notice things. The durability of the upgraded napa leather is pure $h!t.

The only thing I don't like about my car: the seat adjustment setting I like causes my pockets to vomit change into inaccessible nooks and crannies underneath the seat.

Cheers, BT

I'm so tired of trying to get this transmission to shift good, (4 times in for service at the dealer) that I will drive it until the 350Z's are available, and then trade it. I really like the car, but the transmission is like a wart on the nose of a beautiful woman.

Still enjoy the car after 13 months. My regret is not waiting a few months for the C7 option and choosing a color that is less maintenance although the car does look sharp in black. I would have preferred a 4 door but I'm glad I got the coupe instead of the C240 and the C320 was out of my price range. What I like about the car is that even though I modified a bunch of it's still a black canvas waiting for more (exhaust, wheels, suspension, chip, etc.). Also like having one of the rarest option of them all for an MB, a factory indash CD player.

Young, for someone with the money is no object attitude about your pulley kit I don't understand where the econo Civic comes into play (unless you are just being funny and I missed that). I know for what you paid for that pulley of yours you come close to what an entire supercharger kit costs for the Civic, but to each his own.

I love driving my car. I like the performance, handling, style,.... , but not the reliability.

I saw a 350Z on a truck being delivered 2 days ago, caught me off gaurd, had to slow down and take a better look at it on the highway just to make sure.

The 350Z doesn't honestly look that good, just reminded me of a RSX mixed with a Celica, but the performance numbers sound good.

I personally like the exterior styling of the new G35 coupe (although the interior of the G35 sedan sucks), and it is basically the same car as the 350Z (look at pictures of both).

The new RX8 looks pretty sweet too, and if you really want to wait, 2004/2005 the BMW 1-series comes out.

OK OK OK, I really want to know this, you guys all complain about the manual tranny in the MB, but what are you comparing it to? I've never driven a really nice sports or luxury car that was a manual, so I don't have a good pont of reference, but when test driving the C230K the manual seemed pretty good to me.

taylor, the tranny problem is not across the board. Some people have no problem, but others (a significant number) have the terrible 1st to 2nd shift (clunks, and sometimes grinds a little) and short of replacing the tranny, they can't seem to fix it. They put new syncros and shift forks in mine, and it is no better. But I drove an '03 model and it was perfect. So the thing to do is to drive the car you are going to buy a good amount to satisfy yourself that you will be happy with it. My car was ordered, so I didn't have a chance to do that before I picked it up.

Overall I'm very pleased, but I went through that phase where I thought I chose wrong, but I wouldn't have done it differently, with the exception of ordering the car. I had about a 3 month wait which isn't unreasonable, but when its your first new car and/or you're a car geek like myself it was 10 times too long to bear just for the anticipation factor alone. I would like a bit more juice (stock) from the throttle and two more doors wouldn't hurt either, and if I didn't have to fold a seat down to tote the clubs it would be nice too. Enter the RX-8. I was hot on the G35C, and will definitely cross shop with RX-8 when the time comes but it looks like it will be upstaged and outdone in most performance categories by the Mazda which also appears to have more practicality as well, less luxury to be sure, but I'm still sorta young I'll deal. I'll be hesitant to own a rotary and will give it at least a year to see how they hold up, but that's my front runner. Can't say the WRX STI isn't intriguing either however. My ultimate wish- a lifetime membership to the car of month club.

Hey I'm leaving my 99.5 A4 1.8t for the C230k coupe. Interesting. I wish the climate control on the Benz was more like the A4.

I like the Coupe a lot. My only wish would be to get rid of the John Deere sound. But, on the other hand, it adds to its uniqueness.

Although I'm going to stiffen the suspention and lower the front to make the fender gap smaller, the way it handles at speed in its stock form keeps putting smile on my face.

For folks familiar with the vicinity of Fairfax, VA: there is an exit off Rt.66 onto Rt.123 towards Fairfax - a long ramp which I routinely use to test every car I drive as to how fast I can pass it without feeling uncomfortable. My previous daily driver, Volvo S70, could do 65 without leaning too much. Any faster, and you'd have to be alert. The Coupe does 80 easlily . I could push it even faster, but that would be impolite :p

i love that exit; one of the longest exit ramps i've ever been on. another fun exit is the left exit from 495N onto 66W... asssuming there's no cars around, i usually take that exit at about 60 mph.

Sick of car?

No; I typically keep a car for 10+ years. If you're sick of yours already it can only mean that you made a very bad choice in the first place.

Well ... unless it's a lemon, of course
