Argh Pissed Off Need Your Help Quick!
Hi guys, most of you know that I have installed a *****ty "cold air" intake. You might call me stupid, but this F-ing intake FELL OFF today while I was idling. so what happened? This intake fell and took a bit away from the "belt" and the belt was out of place. I went to a local friend shop, and he put the "belt" back in place! This POS intake caused too much.
I need your help. I have no F-ing clue what this "belt" is called? (the one that hangs off the pulleys)
I know, i'm an idiot. so pissed.

i was using some blue ones, they went on easily and were very flexible.
then i changed them out for black ones that are used on turbos and the quality seemed much better.

I was using the same couplers you were. I emailed the idiot "G.A.S" that sold me this product. Let see what they say. the quality of this product is so bad. Now I have to replace the belt. btw, what is the NAME of the belt, so it would be easier when I hit the parts department tomorrow morning.
btw, the one that used PVC pipes was STILLKICKIN, he was the first one to do PVC pipes.

anyways, i recommend you get these if you plan to still use the Cold Air Intake:
also, just stop by the dealer and shhow them the part, they should tell you the part number for the belt

Most of the intake had shattered into pieces. except the airfilter. I think i'm going to throw it back to stock. I just have to clean my K&Ns
2 out of 6 grooves from the belt got eaten off.

There is only one belt, and it is called a surpentine style belt. The Mercedes part should be A 013 997 74 92 and its made by Gates the Gates number might be 03W18 not sure. There is a bunch of numbers on this thing.

Ok guys, heres the current damages.
After replacing the V-Belt. I took a glance at it, 4 out of the 6 grooves were damaged! one pulley is chipped, and the fan is a bit chipped.
I guess I'll be getting the EVOSPORT pulleys for C320 V6 next summer. I dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing =T
btw, the V BELT part # is A 011 997 97 92
heres a pic
