DCX Crossfire
haha..as a slk owner....i agree that it REALLY looks and FEELS like a SLk...why is DC doing this?? to get rid of excess slk parts?
I think I am going to buy that stereo and the shifter and put it in my coupe!
I agree.
I like it, but not with only two seats for my daily driver.
I believe the volume for the US is 18k units. It is powered by the MB 3.2L V6 and available with a 6-speed manual. The engine has the plastic covers on it with the Chrysler Winged Logo. I think it will be a hot seller - at least good for the allocated 18k units.
No it's an Chrysler, you can probably do it for $2,500. The $8,400 price must be for cars with the three point star.
i think Brabus has a sub company to mod Chrysler/Dodge. forgot what is called though

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Better yet, but imagine a Chrysler with a Kleeman supercharger, that would help to make it exotic
Except they raided the MB parts bin for interior parts and powertrain assemblies - I guess they couldn't cobble together more Neon parts and try to sell it for $35k + and get the public to buy off on the idea.
IMO, its still has all the hallmarks of ugly Chrysler styling - sort of the like the early 60's (1960 - 1964) for Mopars - undeniably ugly, but it gets someone's attention...
Think of Imperials, Valiants, Lancers, and the Dart - the fake spare tire in the trunklid, the wierd fins and the bombsight taillights - truly fine styling, huh?
Think about a 5.7L Aluminum HEMI V8 pumping out over 350hp with a MB designed 5-speed automatic transmission in a rear drive 300N. Don't forget MB electronics, ESP, seat frames , axles and many other E-Class type parts all in a Chrysler for around $35k.

5.7 liter V8 only 350hps?, what are you smoking?
Vettes have the 5.7 lt and produce 385 hp for 2003, but from 1998-2002 they were rated at 345 hp, so it makes sense to use that number.
The new Pontiac GTO is going to have the LS1 (5.7 liter) and it is going to have somewhere around 350 hp.

I never got how or why Ford/GM make big displacemen engines with little hps in compareson when Japanese/German/Italian can make more power from smaller desplacement engines.i.e. the Mustang GT has a 4.6 liter V8, but it can only produce 250 hps and some 290 torque. Come on, 4.6 V8 that is at least worth 300 hps. in contrary, G35/Skyline uses a 3.5 V6 that makes 260 hps and around 250 torque. The 360 modena has a 3.6 V8 that makes 400 hps.
Still, "what are they smoking"

I forgot to mention that Chrysler had a 3.2L 24V V-6 aluminum engine pumping out 225hp (1999-2001) were the MB 3.2L V-6 has only 221hp. We have now discontinued the 3.2L and only make the 3.5L making up to 255hp.
which car was it used on? never know that one
The 3.5L was the Prowler engine and currently used in Intrepid, Concorde and 300M.
The 3.2L version in 1999-2001 Dodge Intrepid and Chrysler Concorde.
