I constantly see LED bulbs on ebay to replace interior bulbs and even C5W 39mm

The question i have is why the **CK do they have them all over ebay if you need resistors to make them work? is it just my 2002 model that the LEDs dont work on?

You see LED bulbs all over ebay specifically for Mercedes or you see them in general?

Mercedes wiring is quirky. As I had stated above, each wire is designed to only provide a certain amount of load to the sockets/bulbs, therefore, using LED bulbs in our cars causes "bulb out" warnings because LED's carry less amp. than normal incandescent bulbs (in this case 194 bulbs).

That being said, a lot of other cars don't have the same problem because they don't have warning systems indicating a bulb is out and if there is a warning system, it doesn't have a limited amount of power being supplied.

I've been looking around the site and found people (green c230 coupe) who put LED's all over their car. Im assuming that the resistors are only needed in the headlights?
does anyone know if i can use LED's for the rear license plate lights?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA:IT&ih=008

i found these on ebay and they look pretty sweet. I really just dont want to order these LED's and they dont work

Dude, I've refrained from telling you this, but it's about time that you SEARCH THE FORUM!

Every question you've been asking has been asked and answered in numerous posts. I think you should take the initiative and search for the answers rather than asking for everything to be handed to you.

Let me answer your LED license plate frame question:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w203/132626-hyper-white-led-license-plate-lights-thread.html

*edit* I just realized that you've already posted in the thread. Please read the ENTIRE thread and that will answer your question. *edit*

Also, what part of resistors for ANY bulb in the car did you not understand? It's not just the headlight that you need resistors for.

I always DO search the forum i just cant always find the exact info i need, so i usually post in a previous thread that talks about a similar issue. I figure its better than making a new thread on an old topic. To find an EXACT post where someone writes one single piece of information can take hours especially when threads such as this one consist of 6-15 pages.

I also basically read through the w203 owners manual back-to-front but when dealing with bulbs the manual doesnt tell you anything about LED's and also they dont give u the exact bulb sizes (39mm, 7507, etc) and usually just give u the wattage.

you posted in the Lexus lights thread which says you need resistors in the first page! and on the last page you've seen people are all buying regular bulbs... it doesn't take a genius or as much time as you claim.

it's great that you read the manual. the manual doesn't talk about coilovers right? why would it talk about modding with respect to LEDs?

if you looked at the threads, you'll find that everything is there. even more than you wanted to know.

nlpamg was specifically referring to your question regarding using bulbs for the rear license plate lights. If you looked at the entire w203 forum, there is a thread that has been active (recently) that discusses the bulbs for the rear license plate.

Contrary to what nlpamg was saying, instead of STFF, you need to RTFF (Read The Forum First). It's great that you have read the entire manual. Only problem is, the manual doesn't give you advice on what to do for "aftermarket" modifications.

Xenon fogs and purple city lights on 05 Coupe

Just wanted to share with you what I did recently.
The xenon fogs help much better with the illumination since I don't have the Bi Xenon headlamps. And the purple city lights is just something I felt like doing because I was bored

Need advice on which city bulbs to get?

one of my city bulbs is going very dim i think i will replace it soon. i had the eurolites in there and they looked great kinda had a bluish tint to them. I also have eurolites for the clear corners but both of them burnt up and i just replaced both of them. i'm in the market to buy 2 new city bulbs any brand suggestions??? they seem to only last a year or so. I'm lookin for a bluish tint similar to xenon or close. any suggestions? ebay? thanx in advance
