I would recommend replacing the stock H7 bulbs with Sylvania (US) Silvertars for the best (hid look) 4000K "white" light or if you want the max "brightest" light output but will be a tad yellowish in color go with.
the (BEST)> Phillips vision plus 50% or GE Nighthawk or the Osram (germany) Silvertars which are very good. These are your best options.

An H-7 bulb is an H-7 bulb. They are all halogens.. some have blue coated glass(ala hid look) and some are clear. Whatever bulb you decide to use will make no difference with regards to the cars computer.

if you want to put an HID conversion kit in there you can do it.
but from my understanding, some people get the error msg some doesn't.
and if you are unlucky to get the msg, you will have to take ur car into dealer to have they set xenon to present, but don't know how much they will charge.
I heard people got it for free, and others got charged like 100 to set xenon present.

so really depends

i didnt mean putting a regular halogen in there...i meant putting after market hids in there. Im asking this because i know of the computer diplaying a error msg when you put them on....but i dont even have an error msg when my bulb burnt out so im wondering if i would get one if i put hids in there?

If you got the cash, the hid would be a night and day upgrade and I highly recommend it. you can take your car in to the dealer or an independent shop to fix any error message etc.

never....buy an HID kit w/o having first seen or tested it in same model light
unit. since HID kits are one-size-fits-all you never know if the focal point of
the kit vs your projector will match. most of the time, they will *not* match
your halogen projector. another option would be to get written guarantee
from vendor that if unacceptable glare results, you can get refund w/o
incurring restocking fees etc.

some examples from HIDPLANET

Zam's example of properly retrofitted HID. do *not* reuse halogen projector
w/o testing. use HID projectors since they were designed for HID bulbs
