Headlight Washer retrofitting

I just purchased an AMG bumper from ebay, unfortunately it does not have the holes for the headlight washers that i have. I don't want to just keep them tucked under there. I'm guessing i can possibly cut into it and retrofit my flip up caps along with the hinges and springs. It's just so hard to find one that comes with the reinforcement as well as the bumper with the washer holes. Anyone do this? Any ideas on how to do it?

2 easy steps to do this:

1) take the reinforcement off that bumper
2) buy my AMG bumper with washer holes

j/k man

But my old reinforcement won't work on the AMG bumper right? I dunno, i guess i'll figure something out when it gets here. I may have to drill/cut something off of the old one and put it on the new one.

There are instructions to retrofit headlight washers to C class. They say the whole bumper needs to be changed. Adding Parktronic, however, has instructions on how and where to drill fairly large holes for the sensors. I am not sure why you could not just make the proper size holes in your new bumper for the wash jets.

It comes with the AMG reinforcement, but not the headlight washer holes.

because there is a hinge behind the hole that the jet connects to. if it wasnt there, the jet would shoot right out and hit the car in front of you. they are called hi pressure headlight washers for a reason

So are those hinges on the reinforcement?

no, they are on the back of the bumper. not actually a hinge, just a piece the washer jet connects to

Honestly, i don't really care for the washer, i just like how it looks. But i would like to keep the functionality.

is SOLD
i have the headlight washers and i barely use them. my salesperson even recommended me not to use it because the fluid just gets all over the hood of the car. just install it and then if you decided to sell the car then put back your old bumper.

I have headlight washers...never used them and never plan to. If my car gets so dirty the headlights need to be washed, I think it's time to wash the whole car!

Yea, it is pretty messy. I just like the way it looks. Plus, it's just one of those cool little things.

Hmmm, I could use a set in the REAR bumper!

Funny how nothing gets tailgaters off your a$$ faster than a squirt from the windshield washers.

The standard reinforcement will work with a AMG bumper after modifying it. You will see what needs to be modified when you place the reinforcement over the bumper. Cutting holes and retrofitting the caps will probably not hold.
