A question for Canadian members: What did you pay for freight + PDI?

My dealer wants C$1500 (which is about US$950 for the rest of you). Its unlikely that I could get a car here from Germany (quantity, one) for that price, let alone the PDI. But I'm curious nevertheless.

$1395 freight, same price at both dealers, don't think its negotiable.

$1500 it is - that's what we paid at TPM Victoria in May and although I don't like it a lot it does seem that the transport costs are rather high out here on Vancouver Island. Especially considering that the cars travel overland from Halifax and there's a ferry ride too!!!

and then GST on top of that..... grrr....

At least we don't have to pay the PST in Alberta..

It will be the same for all dealers whether you buy from a dealer in Victoria or Halifax.

MB Canada has set an average cost of transportation so no dealer has any advantage whether situated in the East or West Coast.

Thanks Beng. I wondered if that would be the case. We do seem to have a little variation so far, but I wouldn't call it sigificant.

See sig (US option list seems easier), although my projected delivery date may be a bit optimistic. I did comparison shop at one of the Vcvr outlets, and I would say they were comparable to here.
