In short, no matter what your choice, there's another car out there that will beat it in some category or another. So, who cares?

Buying a car because it has one redeaming characteristic may give short-term joy, but you'll grow to hate it as the relationship goes on (kinda like dating an airhead beauty queen). I prefer to look for the all-around best package - maybe not the best in any/every category, but when considering all categories combined, rating the highest.
Well said.

the reason why this really annoys me is b/c it just assumes that people are buying the C-Class to pose and to just say they have a Benz. little do these ignorant fools know, the w203 is a great handling car, looks incredible, has great features and amenities, and although the C230K is somewhat slow, it's faster than a lot of cars out there and is still fun to drive.

I took the C230K out this morning (I've been driving the M3 all week) and I STILL had a blast with my C230K--it handles very well and has amazing fuel economy. I was taking turns and going around corners at speeds I would take my M3 at...

350Z owners and other people can diss all they want, but the w203 is a great car.

Agreed. And my god the exhaust noise they make is so annoying. It sounds like a little angry bees nest. I have to put both my windows and sound system up

After going from a 350Z to the w203 I can say that the Z is a sports car, period. In a comparison the benz high speed handling is far superior. The *** end of the Z pushes hard on high speed turns (80-110 MPH). However, I liked the rigidity of the z. While accelerating braking and turning you feel the movement is more horizontal than pivotal. The center of gravity is nice but for a front engine vehicle it handles a lot like a porsche. It gets a little washed out hamering down out of corners. The 6 speed tranny was a nice touch seeing as you can find pretty decent torque at a multiple range of speeds being withing the 20-60mph range. When you get up over 70 there is no need for the 6 speed anymore. There's really no need to bash the Z, for the price it's a great tight track car. But I purchased the benz with the intention of keeping my wife safe. I trust the saftey of the mercedes over anything nissan can dish out even if the 230 is a poor man's benz.

LOL

I own/owned both. Driven both hundreds of times. Porsche's have a few extra pounds in the pooper. The Z holds the crappier comparison of the 911. Not a 944 or 928 a 911.

As a former owner of a 240Z, the original, not that squashed down thing they sell now, why do you guys even care? So what? A bunch of morons over in rice land insulted your ride? BFD. It happens everywhere and on every board for every make.

Take a deep breath, and just remember...Poor pathetic Nissan had to be rescued by the French. Yep. That sure made you feel better, right?

I totally agree with you guys on here man....they're completely different from each other...I used to own an evo and I loved it!!! but comfort and sophistication wise and hot girls wise, it doesn't come close..... also, if you want asian girls maybe stick with the 350z or evo...but if you want HOT EXOTIC filipino girls (like me...don't mean to be racist hehehe just preference) or HOT white gurls, get the C....trust me, I've proven that theory
not to mention the much better gas mileage!!!

anyway, here's a pic of my evo at the time...it won 2 awards for best MITSU!!! BALLIN!!! hated the spoiler and went with the EVO 7 look and WEDS wheels....390 WHP modded turbo and internals

BABY NOW..... PLUS VM-9 wheels ( not pictued though) LOVIN IT!!!
