Whoo hoo!! I got a nice package in the mail today...a set of bi-level xenon's (thanks to Steve!!)...I couldn't wait to install them, so here's what they look like:

They look a LOT better in person...I'll take some more pics in the daylight. Here's the steps that I took to install it:

How long was the whole process? Right from start to finish.

Thanks for the responses!

Blueice: My car did not have HIDs to begin with, so I have to go to the dealer tomorrow to have them program it (shouldn't take long).

W0n6_3d4n: These are OEM bi-level Xenon's. There's no stage 1 or 2.

Harris: It took about 1.5-2 hours...about an hour was just figuring out how to go about removing the bumper.

nice job. remember to take some picture once you got back from the dealer yo.

one question: Is all the connector the same or do you need to make new connectors?

currently i'm not looking for the new bi-xenon, since i have the xenon already.

FrankW: You just use the existing harness. It just plugs right in. However, I am missing the auto-leveling function (since my car didn't have HIDs to begin with).

Blueice: You can email Steve at mbenz@benzsport.com for info about getting a set of the headlights. Unfortunately, he sold out of his first batch, so you'll have to wait to see if he can get any more. He didn't have any for the c-coupes...these were only for the sedans/wagons.

Update: I just came back from the dealer, and they wanted at least an hour of labor to program my car to recognize the HIDs...plus, they wanted my car for the whole day...I decided to wait and see if can have them do it later in the afternoon when it's not as busy. Kinda sux that I have to pay an hour of labor for a 5 minute procedure...wish i had that software for my laptop!

Another reason to go to the meet on the 21st. You can make fun of my interior, AND see bi-xenons at the same time.

Doh. I just called a guy in the parts dept. at my local MB dealer and asked for the price of the OEM bi-xenon lenses for the 2003 sedan...$960 EACH! Soooo to get the two you would need to replace your current lenses you are talking $1920 + tax (since it is local). What a rip! The option, itself, doesn't cost that much. The entire C4 lighting package only costs $750.

So just to verify the price I called another dealer. The person I talked to definitely seemed to be a bit more knowledgeable and is going to research the price and give me a call back when he can find out about availability and price. When he does, I'll edit this post with the updated information...

Is there a way to retrofit the connection to activate the levelling motors on a non-xenon car?

You can probably retrofit the auto leveling harness...i'll ask Steve (MBenz) about it...

contact him if you're interested in getting a set...the price that i paid for the pair cost less than one unit from the dealer. =)

SLKBOY, if you don't have the auto-level function in your bi-xenon, how are you going to level your newly installed bi-xenon light? And is it easy to level those bi-xenon lights?

Thanks and your bi-xenon are look great on your C320 !!!
