Looks as if you already have undercabinet lighting. Don’t know if you are going to do recessed ceiling lights, but if not, I have several fluorescent fixtures from a previous project. If you would like them, they are yours for the asking. One can never have too much light for a midnight thrash…lol! What type of floor treatment are you planning?
Thanks John. I added a few cheap 13" GE undercabinet lights that I picked up at Home Depot to add some more direct lighting to my work bench. Since I wouldn't dare brave electrical work, I opted for the kind that plug in. Not nearly as clean having the wires exposed like that, but it's just a work space, right? Depending on the type of fixtures you have and how easy they are to add, I might be interested. I'll probably leave the recessed lighting to the interior of the house anyway. As for flooring, I'm going back and forth between epoxy and the race deck tiles. I doubt I'll be in this house more than a couple of years, so I hate to pay for the next guy's epoxy floor. At least with the tiles, I can just remove and take them with me. It's the same reason I opted for modular cabinets that I can just haul away when I move.

You should have gotten an LED Underbody Kit for the cabinet lighting, DUH! lol

A business card fit for a KING! It seriously wouldn't fit between the spokes and caliper. Let me know if you are interested in a BBKlock... they're only like $30 on Amazon.

Suuure Frank...no fortune cookie for yoo!

Thanks Shake. I've heard bad things about painting concrete, especially if it's not prepped well. That would be my cheapest option by far, but I'd rather leave it alone than have problems. We'll see...

looking good blake, garage looks really nice, what about some checkered laminate floors?

im digging what you did to the brakes with the brembo decals, i need to redo my brakes as well, thinking of going this route, with either white/black or red/white.

caliper clearance is nuts, i had only about jus as much with my mrr's we didnt think it was going to make it, but sure nuff they spun.

Thanks Anthuny! I was surprised to find out how much the checkered "race deck" stuff costs. Even the cheapo ones from costco will cost me about a grand for my 2 car garage. The quality stuff is about 2x that price. As for the brakes, I originally bought "Mercedes Benz" decals, but they were barely too long to fit between the caliper bolts, so the Brembo decals were my only option. I guess it's not posing since the brakes are made by Brembo anyway. I guess all you need is enough clearance so the spokes don't touch the calipers. I haven't noticed any marks on the decals, so I guess I'm good... for now.

Hey Blake,

Just dropping by to say love the garage and the clock. Geez, you're definitely not a pack rat like most people. You got nothing in the garage!

As for the car, it gets better with every mod you make. Hope to see it in person one day. Photos probably don't do justice.

Thanks Arnold. My opinion has always been that if something needs to be stored in the garage, it probably isn't that important and should be thrown away. I moved some things out of sight for the pictures, like lawnmower, edger, blower, etc. but in general I try to keep my garage pretty neat and not use it as a storage like some people (*cough*flip*cough*). Hopefully we can meet up one of these days.

Blake,

big fan of clean and uncluttered garages...

as for the floor, check out U-Coat-It. Just do a Google search for U-Coat-It
it's a do-it-yourself job but pretty easy to do in 48 hours.
Price is under $500 for a 2-car garage, and included the prep solutions, video instructions, no-peel paint, etc...

If you've seen pics of my garage, that's what I used.
I love it.

Carlos
