Please pray for my C24k...
Ok, so here it goes....
Brought my car in to the shop first week of November to get my water pump upgraded on the Kleemann. Week two, shop has issues sourcing various sized bolts, since the blower used odd sizes, Kleemann did not have them in stock, so they had to get machined. Third week of November, car is up and running, shop takes it out for a test drive, 30 minutes later the factory waterpump bracket snaps. Shop assumes the tensioner pulley is seizing, so we change that part. Ordered a brand new waterpump just so we can get the bracket(bracket is not sold separatey). First week of December, waterpump comes in and new bracket goes on. Upon starting the car, the waterpump bracket snaps again. Son of a b!tch! Shop realizes that the tensioner pulley wasn't the reason it snapped in the first place, the actual blower was sezing. Another water pump is ordered since the second bracket snapped as well. So the blower comes back off and gets sent back to Kleemann again. Kleemann looks at it and indicates that a loose screw (don't know if it's shops fault or Kleemann's fault while re-building the blower) went through the blower and screwed everything. This is where I kinda got lucky, Cory sent a brand new blower in return. Two weeks past and the blower comes back from Cory. Shop tries to install it, bolts are missing. This time the bolt missing could not be machined anywhere, so we had to wait for Kleemann to send another one. I understand that the holidays was slow, but fast forward to today, the bolt finally came in. Shop is going to be working on the car all day today So pray for me that at the end of the day today, my car will be running and all will be good.
Cliffs: Car went to shop 1st week of november for Kleemann updates, blower gets F@cked, lots of money was spent for unnecessary parts, but I don't care I just want my car back. Pray that my car comes out alive today. $5k+ went into this.

Who's doing the install? Are they a reputable installer? I know that HOP has installed and fixed lots of Kleeman kits with no problems. Cory at Kleeman is good at public relations; he's replaced parts before for other customers. If you still have problems with your kit, you should find a new shop.

Well, if they can't get it working, then bring it elsewhere. You were lucky that Kleeman replaced the supercharger, since it could very well have been the shop's mistake. You could also ship it directly to Kleeman in Colorado.

After all the money and time wasted you could have put a Downpayment on a new much better car...
why would you make this stupid choice in the first place?
Your car is an outdated piece of junk.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
I feel bad for doramond1313, 5K is a bundle for a compressor, and then to have all that trouble mit das wasser werks is enough to make a platoon of Marines cry.
I hope everything gets sorted quickly. What frustration to need to machine fasteners!

Exactly what my neighbor told me when I had an all original Porsche 356C dropped off in my drive.

1989 Camaro comes to mind.
On the other hand a Speedster is quite the car. It has been the basis of sports speedsters since the early 50's. Goodluck on your project. I envy you!
Anyway, regardless of what you may think. This project just does not make any logical sense. If it does, then you must be that guy going 60mph in the fast lane.

Completely different cars. The C240 will never be a collector car, nor does it have any attractive features that will help retain it's value long after it's time is up. This car will eventually end up in the junk yard or driven by more pronounced members of the Ghetto.

1989 Camaro? That's the mullet drivers car of Choice...although I see plenty of those guys have moved up to older Supras and Preludes.
1989 Firebird...now there's something to own...an 89 GTA, came with the Grand National's turbo V6, which despite saying 245 on spec sheet was well over 300 on the dyno!!!
BTW, I am occassionally the guy doing 60 in the fast lane, since it doesn't go from 50 to 65 until about a 1/4 mile from work. Relax dude.

I always like people that question what you do while they stand by and do nothing. I wonder where we would be if everyone did nothing?? Have fun with the project, learn from it and never look back.
