Cabin filter: How often are you changing them?
How often are you changing them? I have ~134,000 miles and as far as I know, it has never been changed.
I change my interior air filter about twice per year. But we have a lot of blowing dust and sand here in New México.
Maybe once per year is reasonable in normal climates. A visual inspection is better than any kind of standard replacement schedule. It is very easy to remove the filter for a look.

Some folks say it's in the battery compartment but where in the battery compartment? I do not have the automatic Climate control with the digital display, just the reg rotary knobs for temp control...

Does anyone know where this charcoal filter is on a C230 Coupe?
Ohh, why was siren banned?
And W203, what is with the girl knobbing the raquet? Got a bigger pic?

I used to use the cheapo paper cabin filter. Mercedes doesn't even offer it anymore (Ha they probably only had it during the time of free maint.)
and the one they offer now is a thick carbon filter, with lots of filter material.
So, I've had a new one laying around for a year, haven't needed it.
Just checked the old one, and while the side facing out is a little dirty, it's not terrible,
and the inside of the filter looks new, so decided to let it go for now.
I think you can still buy the paper ones at rockauto or something, but I like the idea of the
carbon filter, though, when I drive through a smelly area, it doesn't seem to do much to reduce the
odor. Maybe it is time to replace?
EDIT: Hell, I think I paid close to $40 for a new carbon activated filter, but rockauto has the MANN carbon cabin filter for 12 bucks. Dang. They have the paper ones for $5.

Interesting about the charcoal filters now on cars with only one filter; I'll be doing the B service in a month or so, guess I'll be buying one of the carbon filters. I'm sure it'll filter out all the Jersey pollution for me.
I use my windows/sunroof on a very regular basis but when I want to close it up and use the A/C I want the filtration.
