Anyone using the 8.5" rear OEM wheels up front?

I'm thinking of using 8.5" wide wheels up front too and was wondering if anyone has done this with sucess. I'd like to use 245's all the way around to counteract some of the understeer. Thanks.

is SOLD
when people get staggered wheels usually its 8.5 in the front and 9.5 rear, so it is possible for you to get 8.5 in the front. but if you're talking about the oem 17x8.5 wheel to use in the front im not sure if it will fit.

Please look at the sticky threads at the top of the w203 forum. This has been discussed in several threads, but the Official Aftermarket wheel thread will tell you that there are a ton of people with 8.5 in the front.

245 width tires is a completely different story. Don't know many people that have that wide a tire in the front.

Thanks for the replies guys. The message I got was, yes, the stock rear wheels will fit in the front with 245 tires. I think the reason you all with 19's don't run anything wider in front is because there isn't a 245 that is the correct height and the 19" set up is a bit taller which can potentially cause more interference with the strut.

I am useing 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear, Front is fine no rubbing, I also use 245 toyo proxxes. I would suggest going 7.5 in front and 8.5 in rear for stagger effect. Unless your car is awd is might not look or feel right

Currently I have 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the back. No issue at all, no rubbing,etc... I love the staggered setup, which is a more aggressive look.
