Use mineral spirits on a soft rag. Don't use lacquer thinner or goof off or anything stronger than mineral spirits or it might take the finish off the wood.

Goo Gone
We have used a product that is readily available at supermarkets and drug stores called Goo Gone. I just peeled all of the warning stickers off our new C240 [ 5 of them! ], including the one on the wood surface, and cleaned up the left-over glue with this stuff. Works well, and will not damage the wood or plastic. [ Alcohol on the wood makes me a little nervous...]

Since the wood is covered with a plastic coating I think it should be pretty durable. I have heard that a little WD40 on the label should loosen the adhesive enough for quick removal.
