C Class Coupe 1/18th Scale Model, Custom Colors!
Hi. I am a very big collector of 1/18th scale models (Die-Cast). I searched for the C Coupe and found that Maisto makes one. The car is only available in Silver and I think a dark green. I know a company out in Europe that will remove the old paint and custom paint any color we want. The price is a bit expensive though, $85 shipped to my house, plus another $10 shipped to yours. If you live in NJ you can come pick them up. Each order will take a few weeks to make since the model will need to be taken apart and sanded down.
The link to the model can be found at:
http://www.maisto.com/proddetail.asp?prod=31614&from=
Let me know if anyone is interested.
Thanks,
Erik

I understand they are normally cheaper, the price hike is for the custom colors. Anything not silver or blue. I ordered a black car, so I don't want a silver one on my desk....

I thought you can order current any model in any current color from your MB dealer or the catalog they mail out....
I bought mine off of e-bay, though. My 1/43 Orion was $9.00 and my 1/18 Capri(repainted with Ford UltraBlue) was $24 + 3.99 for the paint and a dollar for the masking tape....and a few home brews...what an afternoon!

I live in Mountain View, work in San Jose but drive all over the place. My car is a silver C7 with no pana-roof (probably the only thing that would differentiate it from most of the other silver C7s out there).

I primarily use 101 to commute. I do use 85 pretty often, but usually later in the evening.
One of these days we should have a Bay Area GTG.

There used to be a guy on here called benzomonterey that tried a couple of times to schedule a GTG, usually only one other dude would show - so he gave up. I think that now that there are more Bay Area Coupsters on here now, we might have better success scheduling one now.

Tifosiv, sorry but I can't find my old invoice, yet anyway.
Someone else on the forum emailed me about 4 months ago, and I found the info and he got one. You out there?
And just now I was checking the sites and it is not etoys it was http://www.etoybugs.com/ and now it looks like the site is down. Today anyway:
