Bosch Icon Wiper Blades are truly amazing. Excellent, excellent product. However, they won't fit a W203. You can, however, get the Icon style blade in the Bosch OEM product, which is part number 3 397 118 933 (set).

bosch icons wont fit 05up w203s? or 00-04 w203s? i want to have the aerowiper look without changing the wiper arms of my 00 W203. What brand should i look for? The stock passenger side wiper is curved and conforms to the windshield, will these aftermarket wipers also have a curve to conform to w203s windshield?

Here is the latest I have - If there is an update that I am not aware of, I'll repost.

Icons fit G-Class 03-05; M-Class 00-05; SLK 1998-04. I'm not sure why pre-04 W203 are not listed for Icon, as I had test samples on my 2003 C240. The 3 397 118 933 Bosch 10 digit number are Bosch OEM equivalents to the SWF product that 04-05 (and probably 06) W203's came equipped with OEM.

After Bosch, my next choice would be the Valeo product.

So I gave up on finding aftermarket wiper blades and went to the dealer. Everyone on this forum got me paranoid I was going to get raped with the price of them. They were $24 each (genuine MB parts)! Not bad!

Those look just like the Bosch Icon wipers I got at Murray's (~$22 each, but very worth it imo). They probably carry them at most auto parts stores by now.

Hey mostolf...just wondering how did those Trico blades fit? I'm getting surprise rain attacks over here and my wipers leave me with nothing but a blur of what's in front of me...so far I have looked through Valeo and Bosch (ICONS are great...I put them on my dad's car and I drove it once through a rainstorm and it kept everything clear...too bad no ICONS fit into the stock Wiper Arms for our cars)....I came upon the Trico's through Amazon.com and I found the 22" model and the 16" model...they say the 24" model will also fit but I have high doubts on this.

24"blade

22"blade
16"blade

Can anybody verify if this will fit (won't hit the sides of the windshield glass; curve with the shape of our windshields)? Thanks.

~Chris

Did you have to change the wiper arms to fit this?

I also have Bosch ICONs on my 02 C230. I had no trouble installing them onto the stock wiper arms. Doesn't your wiper arm end in a "U" shape, about 3/4" deep? I just pried up the show on the Bosch wipers, and then installation was like any other wipers I have ever installed.

The ICON does come in an "A" and "B" model. In the catalog at my local auto store, some cars called for "A" on left and right, others called for "A" on right and "B" on left. The employee I spoke with said "A" and "B" designated the side. However, they were out of stock for the "A" style so I just bought 2 "B" style ones (They looked identical in the package). They installed fine, so I can't find a difference between "A" and "B", though if there is one maybe that is why you couldn't install them on your car?

I bought a set..."A" for the driver side and "B" for the passenger side.
They installed fine, but when I used them, the end of the passenger side was hitting the wiper arm. You don't have this problem? Did you buy 24" for driver side and 22" for passenger side?

I've got the Bosch Icons on my car. No problems with install but there is a little clip that goes over the part of the arm where the blade slides onto. Perhaps that is the difference people are treating as an incompatability. I love the look...very sturdy looking and truly improve the look of the vehicle. Great wiping power too. Got 'em at AutoZone.

Sorry for being so vague before guys. I went to Kragen's and this guy really wanted any reason to step out of the workplace I guess. I just asked "What's the difference between A and B they loo kexactly the same?" And he just grabbed a 24", 22", 21", and a 20" blade for me. We compared the A and B and we noticed they are all merely the same in height, thickness, width, etc. The only difference might be how the wiper is slightly angled at a different degree. Well I put on 24" for my driver side and 22" for my passenger the first try and I got clearence and clean wipes (it was raining, yeah it sucked doing this in the rain). But I noticed in the off position that the darn passenger windshield wiper sits on top of the base of the windshield glass (I'm talking about the black trim at the very bottom of the windshield glass); the windshield wiper's blade just eats into this about 1/2" or less and I was picky because I think this would affect the blade's life. So we tried the 21" and 20" blades for the passenger side and the blade still ate into the base...what I am trying to do now is to adjust the "home position" of the passenger side blade so that it sits slightly higher. The end that eats into the base also hits the wiper arm (unless I pull it out, then it'll sit fine). Nonetheless, these wipers are great. I see so clearly after each wipe (MB's wipers leave me with streaks and blurs only, this was when they were new) and I have these on my other car and they work just as great.

edit:
Would anybody know how to adjust the "home position" my blade sits at? I know it involves loosening or removing the two bolts holding the actual wiper blade to the car but what is the entire process? I read another thread but the instructions were for driver side and the instructions also seemed a bit vague.

So you pulled out the black plastic at the end of the wiper to avoid them hitting the wipe arm??

it's not that hard, take off the 2 nuts, pull the thing off (mine was stuck on pretty damn hard), place them back on again, watch the alignment, put the 2 nuts back on loosely, adjust and tighten.

done - and i'm a total car idiot i figure i can unscrew something and put it back again.
