Tire PRessure Antenna Pics
I did this mod a very long time ago and never finished 2 of the wheels. I just did recently and took some pictures. Attached is a pic of a antenna mounted in the rear wheel well.

While most of the time I have no idea how you get things like this accomplished..I'm still very impressed
.
flip
BTW: did you still need some type of camber correction? You had a thread on classifieds we responded to.

I did get the camber problem corrected. I replied to the first person that contacted me.
Before anyone asks about tire pressure monitoring, a CLK instrument cluster is a minimum requirement. An E class cluster will work as well but you will get several errors which you cannot remove. Also needed are 4 antennas, 4 Sensors, 4 sensor stems, wire harness, Control Module. USA cars get 315mhz antennas while other countries get 433mhz. Each sensor has a code on it which needs to be taught into the control module.

This mod shown gives individual tire pressure.
The pressure loss warner gives just a warning and nothing else.

Each sensor is about 250 bucks. Plus other parts. Pretty pricey. Tire loss warner is just a passive system and will not show pressures. STFF if you do not know about these 2 systems.

...as I was not willing to drill holes in my car, I installed the rear antennas differently (also made it easier to feed the wiring from the interior to the antennas without drilling)...the last picture shows the rightside front antenna - also installed without drilling a single hole.

I reiterrate the fact that Sunman and MBenzNL should have their own install thread stickied at the top of the page. We should compile all the OEM updates they have done and put it in a sticky for everyone to see the amazing things they do!
Way to go Dr. Sunil! Just another notch on the OEM additions that nobody else would dare to accomplish!...LOL. You and Steve are aboslutely remarkable. No other way to explain it.

Even if you have a 2005 car, it MAY NOT be doable. It also depends on the software running on the DAS system which was used to activate it. Pre 05 cars should be doable with a replaced ESP module.... but I am not sure how expensive these are.

Just make sure that IF you do have it activated..to let your SA know about it if you're going to replace tires.
I had a tire replaced on mine...and they didn't re-activate/reset it..and after driving a few miles my multi-info display turned red and said "tire pressure" something. I forget exactly what it said. I turned around and went back to the dealer. Turns out they just had to re-activate it. My SA had a note on his side to remind him to have his tech guys reset it after I change anymore tires.

Dang, Steve actually talked me out of doing this coding mod last time. He said by the time I get the warning the tire would already be too low to do anything about it. Looks like I'll add another coding mod to my MBenzNL wish list!

Blake, was this before or after I had posted my tire story last month? If it was after,

Dude, it saved my rims, tire and a whole lot of $$$$!

End of day, I check my car, it looks good. To be on the safe side, I go to the gas station and check it with the hose. All good. I drive home.
Next day, tire looks good visably, go to work, no sensor warning. End of day, goin' home, right away Sensor warning comes on. I go to the Just tires near my work. They were just closing, but luckily it was a Friday. They couldn't look at the tire that night (but obviously it was a very slow leak). Went to the gas station, filled it with more air and decided to go to the closest tire place near my house first thing in the morning.
Brought it to the tire place, they said they couldn't see any nails, but if it's not a nail, it's probably a bent rim! Stressin' while they evaluate, I walked outside and they had just taken the rim off the car. As the guy is rolling it, I see it! He sees it right after me. Huge nail in the tire. I was scared of where it was sitting (in the tread) and asked him if that's even fixable. He said that this is no problem because of the angle it went in (straight, as supposed to sideways or angled in/out).
Fixed the tire and it saved me lots of money. If the tire went bad and I was rollin' on a flat, the rim would've been bent for sure and would've been a grip.
$30 later, fixed tire and rollin' smooth.
