i saw this car in downtown vancouver a month back but i couldnt snap a shot with my phone cam b/c it was dark out. anyway, i was on a local forum tonight and came across a picture of the same car. i thought i would share it. it might be an instructors car but why use an SL?!

I'd almost suspect that the school caters only to C-lais...

Only one thing I can think of if that's legit. Tax write-off. I wonder if it also has the additional pedals on the passenger side.

oh my freakin gosh. I was stuck with a corolla S. while I can be driving a SL55 amg!! ahahah

btw. SOME local jewish driving schools have ES330, GS300. as instructor cars. what a waste ehh?

And since driving schools have to be licenced there would be a secondary plate mounted on the bumper

I never took drivers ed. I thought that it was a waste of time/money.

Maybe he drives the **** out of the SL and he was trying to be funny. Kinda like Rob Ferretti's supercharged corvette.

I have seen parents put the sticker on their cars to alert others. That is probably the case. Could you imagine the insurance on a driving school with 130000$ cars!?

Something a little strange.. it doesnt looked photoshopped to me, but the "L" sign is not the official ones. The signs that ICBC gives you say "RoadSense" on the bottom...

yeah, ive seen several cars with fake L's on the back of the car. They just make it themselves and tape it on or whatever, my friend used to do that too back when he got his license.

I doubt the driving school would have that blue thingy hanging in the windshield. Doesn't make sense, but then again who knows, it's Canada, rules might be different there regarding driving schools. I used a Toyota too.

I wasnt doubting you saw it... by "something's strange" I meant its strange someone running a driving school wouldnt be using the ICBC branded L or N. I question if he's really running a driving school or if its a joke like the pic of the corvette.

PS: Damnit I love your '55... I'm so jealous.
