HELP! headlights beam cant be adjusted!!
I took my car into the bodyshop today to have DEPO Bi-xenons installed that I bought off ebay. They installed them and when they went to adjust the beam they discovered they are made for left handed vehicles and can't be adjusted.
Is there any way to adjust them?

hmmm, looks like you purchased an aftermarket halogen based projector unit in
which an HID kit for H7 bulb was dropped in. this is the easiest and laziest
method of gaining HID. it is not bixenon as far as I can determine.
so now you've determined that the cutoff-rise is opposite that which you need.
the solution is to return and purchase one which is appropriate for your country,
or to open the headlight, dismantle the projector and to see if you can flip the
cutoff shield backwards....so that the cutoff and rise is on the correct side.

easiest and laziest is one way of putting it I pefer to think of it as an affordable option for a full time student who spent all his money on his baby the only problem is that her glasses are out of focus....
Can the "cutoff shield" be switched?
Does anyone know of someone who has done this?

i am not using 'laziest ' in casual fashion. when you insert an H7 based D2S into
a projector designed for a focal point of an H7 halogen, more often than not
uncontrolled glare results. this occurs the majority of the time. this is what
you purchased: aftermarket (probably Taiwan) made, halogen based projector.
the seller removed the H7 and in its place, fitted a rebased D2S. two different
specifications....made for two different projectors.
flipping a cutoff has been done. its success varies, depending on manufacturer
and design. you have no idea until the projector is disassembled. occasionally,
this can be done with a modicum of success. worst case scenario, you'll need
to fabricate a cutoff shield made in mirror image of that which you received.
you will find cutoff retrofits described in HIDPLANET.COM. good luck!
p.s. when i used laziest, i was referring to the seller, not you
