C55 Accident!!! Pls Help
Hi MB Lovers,
I´m very sad, because I was a fool giving my car to a friend, who crashed it just after 3 minutes... Now I´m here trying to figure out what could have been damaged from this accident, so I´d like you guys just to give me an idea on the components that should be in the accident area. The car hit the side walk, front bumper gone, radiator (both intercooler), water reservoir, etc, etc. Now the biggest problem is that its easier for me to order the parts than the dealer, coz they take a lot of time to make orders, so I´d like to speed the process and order myself the parts. All I want you guys is the help to try understand what could be on this area, and if possible a diagram of the front left car.
Thank you

I suggest you go thru insurance claim. Although the damage doesn't seem to be too bad, the parts can quickly add up to thousands of dollars.

I, too, am sorry to hear about your accident. Glad your fine, though. I must agree with patrick who thinks you should sue! I believe I'm correct in thinking that all police cars - unmarked or otherwise - must have a proof of procedure record when being used in matters that infringe upon your rights to safely operate your own motor vehical. A lawyer can subpoena that cars onboard video and file a negligence case on your behalf. Good luck...

I live in Angola, and my C55 is the only one in the country, since they prohibited import of cars with more than 3 years old
The car runs and drives, no engine damage(apparently), and as I said if I order the parts from the dealer, this will take forever, so I´d rather do this myself, since he will pay all costs. My big concern is to understand what components are located on that side of the car.
I can see the temp radiator, and the intercooler are both gone, but as you can see from the picture, there are so many wires, and pipes that I dont have a clue what they could be. I tried to look for in the internet pics of the front side of the car, but could not find much stuff, so if you guys could give me a hand I´d appreciate...

14cue, I was just in an accident in my C55 (see thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...depressed.html) and the damage to my vehicle looks a bit worse than yours . I am curious, why did it take three months to have your vehicle repaired? That seems like an awfully long time and makes me concerned for the repair time (if its not totaled) for my vehicle.
