XM Radio...

Can XM Radio be installed on the OEM 05 C230 radio... not comand? I have seen some with an SAT option.

And if so, how much would this cost? I want to check with you guys before I call up the dealership.

Thanks!

Sirius is the best, but yea my dealer said they could do it for like 600 bucks with the stock headunit in my 07' so you looking possibly 600-800 depends how much they charge you for labor etc.

I thought that you could only get Sirius through MB.

The performance of Sirius is poor in comparison to XM.

I guess it depends on where you live. I have sirius and the signal almost never cuts out.

I have both, Sirius comes in at a higher bit rate on most channels and has wayyy better Trance/Techno stations. Area 33 FTR

XM radio is simply awesome. I'm always listening to it in my car as well as home since you're able to log in online and listen to it.

It's all about BPM.

You sure can get XM radio. The only thing is you cant control it via the headunit. I would recommend a unit like Command and have it installed in the ash tray, thats where i have mine. ONly bad thing about XM, is if you have the ipod connection, youll find yourself pissed you dont listen to the ipod anymore.

You can get which ever you prefer and mount it in the ashtry. Thats what I did with mine. But if you want the dealership to install it you will have to get sirius, MB does not offer XM.

They are in the merger process, but it is not final yet.
