ADDING a resonator?

I went to a couple local muffer shops who tried to sell me whatever junk they had laying around.
So figured maybe better to look online myself.
I see this looks pretty good and stainless and inexpensive.

Everytime I drive I cring at the ricey sound I'm getting these days past about 4K.
Maybe something like this could clean it up a little?
Opinions and suggestions welcome.

So sounds like it's a quality product.
Went ahead an ordered. As I stated it's Stainless (not galvanized like this guy was trying to get me to buy at the muffler shop, the dumass) and it's a straight thru design with ceramic fibers rated at over 3000 degrees or some such info, per the guy I ordered from.
Only 57 bucks including shipping!
Here's how I sound currently, but as the engine is limited to 4K rpm,
you can't quite an idea of how nasty it sounds upwards of 5K rpm.
Should be here Weds. I'll post an "after" video.

SS is outta site on pricing, and a while a coupe muffler is a difficult item to source, (and likely to make with the amount of space they have to work with) the one I got is pretty much the same as anything SS could provide.
Well except that it's shiney, which I wouldn't care about.

The guys on this m3 forum, can't rave enough.
There's a sounds clip with it installed, but no before clip, so you guys will at least get both.

Then it got a little louder with the header, and then
it got hella loud, and just plain nasty sounding when I got the new cat.
Been driving me nuts for a while now. The guy at the shop swedged in a 2.5" unit instead of 2" and told me after he put it in, "to increase flow".
Don't know if that had anything to do with the sound.
The only nice thing is people NOTICE me, as in not like I'm needy for attention, just that unless you're in an SUV Suburban assault vehicle these days, it's hard to get any respect on the road. Dumasses with cell phone in their ears, honking the horn does little good.
When I jump on it, people take note that I'm there, and it keeps them alert.
I see them look, and they move out of the way. Take a mental note that there's this maniac in a loud car next to them. he he
I don't mind that it's loud, just that it sounds like a fart can.

Put the zero back on or debadge.
"C23" on the back of that car is almost like you're trying to make fun of yourself.
Anyone who knows enough about MB will realize the stupidity while those with no clue wont know the difference between C230 and C23.
And why would your stock C230 leave most any other C230 in the dust?

I don't mind the rasp, so I never bothered with them.
kev, I'm not gonna lie to you, but your muffler does sound ricey.

Tell ya what, peel yours off and send it me, and Ill be sure to comply.
(Why all of a sudden, I cant type a hypen? Comes up with a "quick find" field at the bottom of the page?)

I didn't think they were allowed to do that.
I was searching all over the property, and the neighbors houses, as it showed as delivered via tracking.
Nice piece. Very nice. As compared to the crap they were trying to sell me at the muffler shop. While only 4" across it' s a little bigger than I imagined.
Tomorrow!
