Hi All,

I bought my car in last week for some sort of "leak" from the engine.
and also some minor problems.

Apparently my car was not leaking engine oil, but was leaking transmission oil!

this was what was performed.

1. Pilot Bushing on the Electrohydraulic Control Unit. (replaced)
2. Transmission Plug Seals/Electrical Seals (replaced)
3. Squeeky front seats like (E's Car), but... Driver seat replaced (driver seat cushion, seat cushion cover, seat adjuster/cover piece, adjuster/cover piece for passanger seat) (replaced)
4. Climate Control Unit Replaced (LOOK DOWN) (replaced)
5. Transmission Shift Program replaced
6. Shift Console replaced.
7. cover shifter replaced.
8. Transmission shiftgate replaced
9. comfort/sport program switch replaced
10. 27 point check performed.

OK, so heres the story about the climate control, which I am 100% satisfied with. I bought the climate control from ryan, (which owns a S4 now) for $60. A few of the buttons were jammed, and sticks. the temperature control spazzes a bit.

I went from...

Advans, Im glad you got squared away. Your oil leak looked like it was coming from a valve cover area. How in the world was that tranny related? I'm completely confused! Perhaps I don't remember the pics you showed origionally, but something seems WAY off here.

Honestly, MBZ service really isn't that bad. I have plenty of friends with Honda horror stories. Well, just like Advans, I get my stuff done too. Glad to see that it isn't just me.

MB service is NOT that bad, not as bad as how I had it with NISSAN!
sometimes MB service does everything correctly, and sometimes not!

E,

the pictures I showed originally WERE oil leaks from the valve cover, gaskets, etc.

the leak that was fixed was somewhere similar, but I have no clue WHY it was a tranny leak, I thought it was a motor leak again. I'll have to take off the airbox assembly to check out what exactly was "done" as for its dark as ***** out, and I cant really see *****! I'd have to look tomorrow.

I'm glad they finally did some work this time. and replacing the climatronic was great.

rlee, scans will go up tomorow, right after school!

Advans, I can totally tell the difference...

looks like you used to have the EURO version of CLIMATRONIC
and the dealer just replaced it with the US version.

I have the EURO version on my C-Sport Coupé
and the US version on my C-Sport Sedan

Key features that give it away:
"EC REST" vs. "AC off/rest"
and the "arrows" vs. seat positions on left & right temp control buttons.

Too bad your EURO Climatronic was hosed up. It is definitely a nice unique but subtle difference that sets it apart from all the US models.
I have EURO COMAND, Euro Climatronic, and a few other Euro only modules on my C-Coupé. I like it that way... as long as everything is working correctly.
