2005 C230K Sport Sedan, 6 speed manual
Check this link.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...=&cardist=1032

It says automatic, but photos show a 6-speed manual. The moonroof is not listed either, but the photos show it has the panoramic moonroof.

Thanks! That car is PERFECT! 6spd, panoramic roof, Xenon headlights, headlight washers...Its IDEAL! I'm going to list my BMW on craigslst and see if I can free up the funds. I'm hoping that the color and the price (not exactly a bargain, but it IS at a Mercedes dealership) keeps people away for a couple of weeks. Not everyone is going to be willing to plunk down $19k+ on a 4 year old car.

I had no idea they even made that color in '04, but this is the second one I've seen in as many weeks!

You may not want to delay too long if this is really the right car. At least contact the dealership and ask a few questions. Check the history on the car. Then plan a road trip, if you still think it is the right car. Have it inspected, and don't be blinded and fall in love until you are absolutely certain. (Yeah, easier said than done.)

Thanks for the link. It does have the sunroof! I've suspended my search until I sell my BMW or my Jetta GLI. I won't finance a car, its just a personal rule I have. The awesome people on this forum linked me to THE PERFECT example of a '04 Citron Green Coupe and I did call about it, but the car just wasn't a good value. I can settle for a different color for a better deal.

There's also one on Ebay today:

They seem to be everywhere at the moment. There's 1 on Ebay and 3 on autotrader.com. Its nice to see that I'll have options.

This is at least the fifth or sixth one I've seen totaled. Its a shame too, because its a 6spd w/nav and good miles.

GMC - Miata - Trek - P-Car
I've seen this one around town for years.

Straight and clean. Totally stock and original. OE pads making their mess. At least he scored an end spot.

Belongs to some old guy…fourtysomething.

Unfortunately, it’s not for sale. We finally caught up at 2nd and PCH in Hermosa Beach:

I bought a 2003 BMW Z4 in May and while its a great car, I was sitting at my computer looking at C230s when I got the email notification for this thread. I held out for a 3.0 6spd w/Sports package, 18" rims, xenons, GPS, etc. but I'm still not completely in love with it. I could probably EASILY trade it for a Citron Green if I came across a VERY nice specimen on a lot somewhere. Its only got around 22k on the odometer.

They were at insurance auction facilities that sell the cars to licensed dealers/dismantlers/Recyclers who either sell them as rebuilders or part them out. Depending on what you're looking for, you might have luck with www.car-parts.com.

I use to manage an auto glass company that was also a car lot where wrecked/salvage cars were sold to be fixed, so I still have access to a lot of the big auction facilities. I'm keeping an eye out for for a low-mileaged C230 Kompressor Sedan that is either a theft recovery (stripped) or super light body damage. I just may buy a sedan, strip it down, and turn it into a Citron Green car. I wouldn't want to take a perfectly good retail priced one and make it into a project, but I'd be open to doing it to a salvaged one that I've got under $10k in.

I believe this is Doug's car (Citron03_C230K) His is one of the first citron Green that I saw on here and I thought his tasteful mods were AWESOME! Its a shame it has so many miles and is so far away.

The wheels in my head are turning on what I said earlier about buying a salvaged one, fixing it up, and painting it myself. I should have access to a paint booth, I think I have the skillz to pull it off. My only concern is what all would have to be stripped to cover the original color? I've not looked under the hood of a C230 in a couple years now, I can't really remember. I've found a prospective candidate in the form of a silver '02 w/22k miles that's hit high in the front over the frame. Has good airbags. I bet I could pick it up for around $4k Like I said before, its one thing to pay retail for one and then stripping it down to change the color, but its completely different to do it to one that you don't have a lot of $$$ tied up in.

Ahh..The things I think of when I have too much time on my hand. I shouldn't be thinking such things.

well on the painting side, your going to have to sand it to the bare metal then prime it. Depending on how well you sand and prime, it should come out looking like OEM.

The prepping side is what makes paint jobs so expensive, the paint itself its relatively cheap depending on what kind of mixture. I say just take your time and it should come out well.

here's another thread to give you an idea. He DIY his own paint job..looks like it came out ok.

edit: nvm saw it in his description, but not in the pics. probably older pics.

Thanks for the link! I grew up around bodywork, so I have more experience than I care to ever put on a resume as far as prep work. I use to have to hand sand cars as a form of punishment growing up but now I think my dad uses a DA sander for the heavier stuff. I have access to all the equipment, the biggest challenge would be getting my dad to observe to make sure I don't screw anything up. I've shot hoods, fenders, and bumpers, but never an entire car at once.

The wheels are still turning. I have to find a solid candidate first.

Thanks man! I spent an hour last night browsing the salvage auctions for anything worth my time. I saw the one '02 Coupe w/low miles and light damage, but it looks like its in arbitration with the insurance company because the date on the photo is from '06. I think a Citron Green sedan would be AWESOME! Either or, I don't care I just want a solid car when I'm done.

2004 C320 Coupe, 6 spd manual.
Anyone know if this person still has theirs for sale? I was contemplating this one my self, but later decided on a black '04 c320 manual.

Here is the link to the thread here on the forums, https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...18#post2769518

Maybe this person can be contacted. This car also has the folding (convex) side mirrors .

don't knock the PRIUS.
The decision makes sense for the time being.

I can vouch for that Citron C230K... it's one awesome ride, and worth every penny. If Doug still has it for sale, someone should jump on it right away.
