Nope.....brakes are never covered under warranty. Time for some new pads.

not covered, unless you can show evidence of uneven wear or something wrong with the brake causing it to worm out faster than it should be.

Since they're worn out, replace them with Porterfields.

E-mail them, their website is http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/

Also you may want to consider Pagid, I think they are made in the UK and are nearly 1/4th the price. The Porterfields are like $179 US for the fronts now. I did a group buy with Geoff speedtoys.com about 6 months ago and they were $100 but I think they went up.

Most car manufacturers warranty the brakes and other wear and tear items for 12 months/12,000 miles, since the brakes should not wear out in that time.

It means yopu should have purchased a car that came without a manual or warrantee since you obviously don't have a clue about what they are for.

604,

Careful with the answers you receive to the questions from American owners, MBUSA operates quite a bit differently than MB Canada. Not to mention being in Vancouver you get the advantage of MB owned retail stores. Nonetheless, the answer to your question is this: if your car is less than 2 years old (from delivery date) and has less than 40,000kms you are covered under the Wear and Tear warranty. If you fit this criteria, go in and complain of brake squeal, your pads will be replaced no questions asked. Hope this helps.

Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Vancouver, Toronto and soon Montreal are all owned and operated by Mercedes-Benz Canada. They are corporate retail stores. In the US the only Mercedes-Benz operated store is MB Manhattan, the rest are owned by private owners. Hope this clears things up.
